Kamishin was used to being made fun of for his passion for canoeing.
It was an odd passion, he knew. Yet, despite the social ostracization, he simply could not let it go. It was the only thing that really brought him joy.
He'd resigned himself to a loveless life, as much as he found himself infatuated with girls from time to time.
But then Ruka came along and, to his shock, she actually liked him back. The most popular girl in his class liked him back, even with how odd he was.
Maybe everyone does have someone for them, after all.
