Summary
After returning from the mental hospital and facing even more brutality from his father then usual, Travis Phelps knows he won't be able to make friends. Everybody knows what happened before he left, and now all he wants to do is hide in the bathroom stalls for the rest of his school years. He only noticed a couple differences since coming home, that he no longer wanted to hide in his fathers shadow, and that maybe, JUST MAYBE, it could okay for him to feel the feelings he had been the most shameful for, most of his life.
Sal "Sally Face" Fisher is rather exited to see Travis back at Nockfell High. Despite all that Travis had done to him, after that encounter in the bathroom stall, he had thought mabye he could become Travis's friend, and knowing what had happened to him before he left, he can't help but pity the boy, though that most definitely isn't the only reason he wants to get to know Travis better.
