Work Text:
Nacht Faust, in appearance, was identical to his twin brother, Morgen.
Their personalities, however, were completely different, and Nacht likened them to the seasons of the year to illustrate this contrast.
Morgen was as gentle as a spring breeze, with a smile as warm as the summer sun.
He was captivating as pleasant as the good seasons of the year.
Morgen was admired by everyone who knew him.
Nacht, on the other hand, was as taciturn as an autumn sky. His gaze was as cold as the snow that falls in winter.
He did not inspire comfort, and no one cared to have him around.
Like the harsh seasons of the year, Nacht caused trouble for everyone nearby.
Although many failed to appreciate winter, it was Morgen’s favorite season because on those cold winter mornings, he could keep his brother sitting beside him by the fireplace, warmed not only by the heat of the fire but also by the thick blanket that covered them both, while Morgen calmly watched the snowflakes falling in the garden, thinking how lucky he was to have his older brother by his side.
