Work Text:
Amelia was not much of a thinker; that much was clear from previous incidents, all curiously involving banana peels and an excessive amount of caffeine. But this analysis only makes the most recent accident more harrowing.
After getting out of bed and collecting the preordered coffee she paid extra for to be delivered to her windowsill, forcing the underpaid delivery driver to climb a mossy wooden ladder, all for the bad luck engulfing her to seem less significant, she departed from the bedroom—only to slip on the banana peel she had thrown away carelessly the night before.
The hall became further away as her brain caught up with reality. She was falling, and fast. While her descent slowed and her mind raced, memories flashed through her mind like pieces of a puzzle, all falling into place. It was not bad luck or her own carelessness causing her downfall… it was planned. Carelessness can only go so far; the true perpetrator was right there all along.
Spicy watched with a stone-cold expression etched into her face. A small, victorious smirk crept into her features as her plan's final steps were carried out. Amelia could only look on in horror and betrayal as a beloved roommate of years betrayed her in less than a second. The crime was done, and the cause could only be traced back to a single IQ test…
