2007年，少女时代刚刚出道，九个还没来得及适应偶像身份的女孩，被推入一档长期真人秀。在镜头、通告、练习室与公众审视之间，她们意外认养了一个八个月大的婴儿——林。
从出道初期的青涩，到黑海的伤痛、Gee的登顶、930的撕裂，再到此后的漫长岁月，林将以另一种视角陪她们走过那些真实发生过的时刻。
少女们会怎样塑造林？
而被她们养大的林，又会怎样守护、理解，甚至反哺她们？
林的出现，是否能让某些命运悄悄偏离原来的轨道？
本文基本遵循少女时代真实发展历程，并尽量贴近成员在舞台、综艺与现实娱乐工业中的公众形象；人物刻画并非单纯造神，而是基于现实人设、时代环境与作者对人性的理解进行延展。
本文含有温情、养成与甜宠内容，但并非纯甜宠文。它更接近一篇带有现实底色的少女群像：关于爱、陪伴、成长、占有欲、公众凝视、娱乐工业，以及人在系统之中如何彼此拯救。
