Summary
The redhead merchant Despina arrives at her hometown to find that her raven-haired old friend, Domna, has ascended the throne while she was gone, although Domna isn't the most well-liked among monarchs. However, Despina just can't understand why Domna isn't happy anymore when she has all of the riches and treasures and pleasures she could ever want, but the redhead will soon learn. Enjoy~
Some details:
I use some Greek terms for the obvious reference to what this story is about, or at least I hope the story's reference is clear enough...
Domna: A tyrantess queen, tall height, long wavy black hair, rarely smiles, only ever wears a deep purple silk chiton (Greek cloth tunic) with gold trim while infamously never wearing a perizoma (waist wrappings akin to underwear, example depictions are seen in artwork of Jesus Christ or Greek athletes)
Despina: poorer merchant but family friend of Domna, medium height, straight red hair usually in a ponytail, always smiling and jovial, wears a perizoma under her light blue chiton and white himation (linen side-cloak)
I also mention a xiphos, which is just a Greek short sword, hence why it's used interchangeably with sword in the story.
