Summary
Sam hadn't told Dean that he'd called her. After they'd wrapped their investigation for the day, his brother had gone for a drive, which usually meant that he'd be out for the rest of the evening. It gave Sam time to get Rowena's help. As much as he wasn't certain he wanted the witch's opinion, he knew that their investigation alone wasn't enough to stop this monster.
He'd known that her dramatic sigh as she'd picked up the phone was on purpose, particularly when Rowena began teasing him pretty rapidly after that. Sam had to admit that their conversation flowed pretty easily, especially when he'd brought up needing her help on a spell. After giving him a suggestion on how to break it, Rowena was surprised when Sam asked her to come to their motel, stating that he needed her for the spell. She'd been flattered, and though she was cautious, a small part of her believed that Sam wasn't trying to trick her. She believed him. So she teased him with the idea before agreeing, knocking on his door an hour later.
