“The stars are gorgeous tonight.”
Bee said, staring up at the night sky.
“Yeah…like you.”
Bee’s face heated up as he quickly turned his head to look at his conjunx.
Breakdown laughed and then Bee calmly looked back up at the stars.
“You can't just say things like that.”
Bee sighed.
“Say what? Factually correct statements?”
Breakdown laughed again when Bee covered his face with his servos.
“You're embarrassing me…”
“You know that's my favorite hobby, and I wouldn't give it up for the world.”
Breakdown chuckled as he wrapped his arms around Bee, hugging him as they lay on the grass.
“Would it kill you to go a day without it?”
Bee happily hugged him back.
“Yes, actually. I'll die if I don't find a way to embarrass you somehow.”
Bee rolled his optics.
“Of course.”
“You know, I have pictures of us when you were, ya know…smaller.”
That caught Bee’s attention quickly.
“No.”
“You wouldn't mind if I just…showed them to the Terrans, right?”
Breakdown looked at Bee with the most smug look he's ever seen in his life.
“You wouldn't.”
“Oh I would.”
Bee playfully hit Breakdown on the arm.
“I hate you sometimes.”
“You know you love me.”
“Do I know that? I guess I do.”
Bee said, playing around with the emphasis on the word guess.
Breakdown laughed as they both looked up at the stars again, gazing at them in a comfortable silence.
It wasn't long before Breakdown spoke up and then pointed at the sky.
“There's one of those constellations, what's it called again?”
Bee looked where Breakdown was pointing to identify it.
“That one is Scorpius. The humans say it's some part of Greek Mythology that this scorpion stung their hunter Orion. It's a zodiac constellation and I heard there's a bunch of those.”
“We should make it our goal to spot them all.”
Breakdown looked over at Bee.
“Whoever spots them all wins?”
“That would be a long lasting race.”
Breakdown smiled.
“We have our whole lifetimes.”
