    Sam had left her to finish her wine as he'd carried their bowls into the kitchen, starting to clean up after dinner. She'd kicked her heels off, drawing her legs up along the couch, her dress falling more open at the slit along her thigh. That was how Sam found her, draining the last of her glass, reaching to place it back onto the coffee table, and he was captivated. The dress she'd worn that night was stunning, and he'd had to breathe deeply to still take her out to the gallery rather than suggesting they go to her bedroom instead.

    "Are you joining me?" Sam wet his lips, realising that she had a hand held out towards him, having drawn her knee up to leave him some space on the couch. He placed the wine bottle onto the table as he sat, picking up her glass to refill it, then his own, and Rowena smiled as he handed it to her, sliding her feet into his lap.
