Diana cuddled up close to your cold body, rubbing a hand along the length of your arm. Suddenly, for several moments, those scars didn't ache anymore. That just seemed to be something Diana could do, she would rub and kiss at whatever parts of you that seemed like something you were uncomfortable about....
Tonight was no different.
"Sweetheart, you don't need to do anything--I'm just trying to rest early..."
"You never rest early, something is wrong." She purred and pressed a gentle kiss to your collarbone, purposefully pulling away the hoodie to do so.
"It's almost eleven pm, it's close enough to my usual bed time.."
"Just let me love you a little, darling.." Diana insisted, continuing to carefully caress her wife's body.
"You're very cold.."
"This house is cold."
"But that always makes for the best sleeps, no?"
"Yeah.." you hummed back and finally relaxed, nuzzling into Diana's chest.
"You're very warm.."
"I know.." she chuckled lightly and pulled you into her embrace, rubbing your back with her calloused fingers, even trailing under your hoodie to get all the tense spots better.
"Mmh.." she simply smiled at your groans, and kissed the top of your head, "Okay, okay, sleep time...."
Diana had flicked on a documentary at some point, but you had been drifting in and out of sleep for about half an hour by now....
She stopped rubbing your back as she began to drift off by herself, leading you to do the same....
"...mm...mh' love you..."
"Love you too.." she replied with a gentle smile.
And the two of you drifted right off to the sounds of whatever was on....
