Luthor had an interview with the news reporter Clark Kent but right now, he feels this horrid feeling when around him- like he's around superman again. But it just feels weird around Clark.
Don't get him wrong, the interview went great. Luthor enjoyed seeing how cautious Kent was around him, it felt exhilarating for Luthor. Oh how anxious and nervous that Kent was around him. It felt better— more fulfilling compared to his hatred for superman.
He wanted to see Kent more after that day..
More of a need than a want now. His hands hovered over the email he was about to send to his assistant, wanting him to schedule another meeting with the reporter.
Oh what am I doing!! It would be too suspicious if I requested a meeting so soon– but he wants to feel that feeling again. The feeling that filled him with such delicious joy.
In the next few days Luthor couldn't focus on his plans on defeating Superman anymore– no no no, he was too busy watching his favorite little reporter. Luthor doesn't know why he enjoyed seeing him so much. He just feels warm, and that feeling gets worse when he sees the guy so nervous and timid.
But recently a new report has gone out.. Brucie Wayne being all sweet and flirty around the reporter even kissing him.
Now we all know Luthor is a jealous man, but now he feels his temper boiling when that news spreads and hearing it through the office gossip– oh that just tips him over.
Immediately scheduling a meeting with the reporter out of pure impulse. At first Luthor's assistant was skeptical of the sudden request but she knew better than to question his orders, but of course the assistant had to ask what the meeting was about so that she could send a formal letter to the reporter.
Luthor didn't give a straight answer, just muttered ‘’want to see him for something’’. The assistant simply nodded at that and quickly left.
When Clark received the email though he was cautious of it, of course he was cautious of it. Yeah he knows Lex Luthor doesn't know his secret identity but, the sudden request for a meeting out of nowhere is just so random. It tipped him off like something bad will happen.
But Luthor hasn't attacked the city yet or anything nefarious lately and that makes it more suspicious.
Ever since that day he did an interview with the man, he noticed the sudden change. How he shows up less and less to attack superman or even make a death threat! See how suspicious that is?
Even Bruce questioned it, telling Clark to be careful because he may be planning something big. Of course Clark would trust his best friend– he’s been with him even after his divorce with Lois. It made Clark's heart feel warm with everything they went through together.
Focus Clark!
This is not the time to swoon over your best friend! He doesn't even know if Bruce feels the same- yes maybe they should just stay friends.
After that night Clark agreed to the Luthor's meeting.
But through the camera just outside the window on the tree– there placed a small device, Luthor chuckles to himself as he places another picture of Clark on the cork board ripping Bruce off from the picture.
He won't lose that little fulfillment he had left. Kent will be in his favor– he’ll make sure of that.
