Math problems

Summary:

Damian is doing his homework easily. Until he read that math problem.

Chapter Text

Damián, as an excellent student, was easily doing the homework they had been assigned. Until he read that math problem:

Frederic, Anya, and Damián have a bag of peanuts. Frederic has 210 peanuts, Anya 438 peanuts, and Damián 101 peanuts. How many more peanuts in total do both of them have than Damián?

Damián had to reread it several times. And not only because his name was in it, but also hers. "Anya and Damián"

No.

He hit his chest, that didn't bother him. The problem was:

"Why did that fool have more peanuts than me?" he grumbled, thinking about that pink-haired girl who bothered him.

He tried not to think about her and shook his head, refocusing his mind on that math problem. But:

"Who is this Frederic? And does he dare make a plot with Anya against me?"

Damián frowned, already imagining Anya's mocking smile at the fact that she had more peanuts than him. Unacceptable. And between the two of them, it was worse. Why were they bringing that up?

Certainly he was taking it personally and his last name was not on the sheet. But there was Anya and as if that made sense. It was about him.

Him, who had fewer peanuts. And it's not that he cared about that peasant food. It's that she was a peasant and couldn't have more than him. Certainly that didn't make sense.

He didn't know who Frederic was, but Damián knew who he was.

"I am a Desmond," he declared. And with complete certainty, he was already writing those words.

No answer. It doesn't make sense. I have to have more peanuts than the two of them together, not less.

And he continued with the next problem:

Anya bought chocolates for Valentine's Day. The largest box for her boyfriend Frederic cost...

"Boyfriend?" clenching his fist in rage "Frederic? Who is this Frederic?"

For Damián Desmond, those simple math problems were the most difficult.
