Work Text:
"You ready, Chloe? I'm hitting play now!"
The door swung open. The music was at full blast. The adoring crowd screamed their approval as Chloe Price took to the stage, ready to bring it all down. She marched on stage with such confidence, ready to play to the crowd. And as she grabbed the microphone with such authority, the crowd was ready, willing to run through a thousand brick walls for her.
Lights, camera, ACTION!
The feminine power of Bikini Kill's "Rebel Girl" pierced through the walls as Chloe played to the crowd. They were lapping it up, egging her on, as she rode the wave of their roaring approval. Concerts at 8 AM on a weekday? Frowned upon by society... but they were not part of that society.
Rules are made to be broken... and rewritten. Now they were bending the world to their agenda, and to those who dared oppose this wave of powerful feminism? This daring twister of rebellion and not giving a fuck what the elite think of them?
DEATH. DEATH. DEATH. DEATH TO THE ONE PERCENT.
What was Arcadia Bay going to do? Beg the Prescott family to use their money to silence their rebellion? Bring. It. On.
Hang on, what the... There was a sudden knock on the door. Who would interrupt the revolution?
"Chloe, really? At this time?! Breakfast is ready for both of you. And turn that racket off, please? I don't want another noise complaint."
Reluctantly, Chloe had to pause the revolution for the time being.
As the golden rays of the morning sun seeped through Chloe's window, wide open to get rid of the stench of weed from her usual morning wake 'n' bake, she turned to Rachel. A rapturous applause erupted from her hands as she nodded in approval.
"That was hella good! I was like super impressed. Such talent deserves to be rewarded..." a not-so-subtle Rachel implied.
"If I'm thinking what you're thinking, then dude... say no more. If only breakfast wasn't ready and my mom wasn't home."
The roll of Rachel's eyes only conveyed half of her disappointment. But before she had a chance to reply to Chloe, the rumble of her stomach made her rush out the door and downstairs to be fed, leaving Chloe just standing there, flapping her arms out.
Well, at least it gave her the opportunity to spark up again and check the closet.
Yep, there it was, her packed duffel bag. It was really happening. They really were going to ditch the sorry excuse of a town Arcadia Bay was, and head for where dreams are made: Los Angeles. It was Rachel's wish, and for Chloe, it was the chance for a fresh start.
It had been a rare year of victories for Chloe. Rachel was dating her, and despite her bad influence occasionally rubbing off on her, she still managed to graduate top of her class, much to the envy of a snarky Victoria Chase.
Oh, and the real win? The golden goal of wins? Getting her mom to ditch the sorry excuse of a human that David Madsen was. That horrendous moustache was OUT. Chloe pulled out all the stops to convince Joyce to boot him out permanently: sobbing, begging, threats, the whole fucking works. Now there was no tinpot dictator stalking their house, sniffing out any hint of rebellion and then trying to "discipline" her.
GOOD. FUCKING. RIDDANCE.
"Chloe! Hurry up, please? I've got to head to work in a few," Joyce yelled from the bottom of the stairs.
"Coming, Mom! Jeez..."
The loud thuds of Chloe's boots made their way downstairs to see Rachel and Joyce deep in conversation. Chloe marched over to the table, coughing loudly in order to interrupt and get their attention.
"There you are. I was just saying to Rachel how this shirt suits her! Don't you agree it looks wonderful on her?" Joyce asked Chloe.
Gay panic and gay thoughts raced through her mind. Rachel didn't look just wonderful... she looked fucking hot. But Chloe, being Chloe, defaulted back to her snappy, irritated responses.
"Yeah, sure, she looks great. OK, mom?"
Joyce let out a defeated sigh, too tired to keep Chloe in check. Another long day at the Two Whales diner awaited her.
"Rachel, you must be looking forward to going back to Blackwell? I heard you're guiding the new students around the campus today?"
Looking forward was the complete opposite of what Rachel was feeling. She had... other plans. Other, more interesting plans. So she had to put on a brave face and lie to Joyce.
"Um, yeah... Looking forward. Yeah, I guess."
"Good! It seems like you still have a good reputation there, despite the troubles you would often get into," Joyce replied, glancing her eyes over at Chloe and shaking her head.
They could have argued all day, again, but fortunately for Joyce, she had to head to work. And after bidding Chloe and Rachel farewell, the door closed, and the mood changed inside the house...
FREEDOM.
The revolution could begin. And Rachel had ideas for how they could spend their last day in Arcadia Bay together. She had a determined look in her eye, a look Chloe was all too familiar with... and enabled.
As she finished the last of her breakfast, a meal Chloe continuously chose to skip, she got up and told Chloe:
"Ready to get out of here? Go get your stuff and meet me by your truck."
"Yes, ma'am!" Chloe replied, saluting Rachel.
And with a skip in her step, she marched upstairs with a smile, buoyed by the fact that by the end of the day, they were out of there.
She was welcomed back to her room with the sweet, sweet aroma of her half-finished weed. The law being the law, she made sure to finish it before taking a look around her room, and breathing in the last of the weed.
The room where it all happened. From happiness to heartbreak, from euphoria to depression. Chloe had experienced it all, and now she was saying goodbye to her childhood room and home.
She remembered the hastily written note she intended to leave for Joyce. She wasn't good with words or expressing herself, but she made an effort to say goodbye, albeit in her own way. It was sandwiched between the many disciplinary letters from Blackwell Academy that she gleefully ignored. She picked up the note and headed downstairs, leaving it in plain sight on the table.
This wasn't a goodbye forever. Chloe had promised to come visit her from time to time. Because, for all of her faults, she was still her mother. And she got rid of the worst human in existence: David Madsen.
Well, there was no time like the present. It was time to shut up shop and get the hell out of Arcadia Bay... for good.
Tick, tock, it's revolution o'clock!
Rachel was leaning confidently against the side of Chloe's truck as she greeted her out-of-breath girlfriend. Chloe put her bag in the trunk next to Rachel's several bags. It looked like she packed the whole world, given the quantity of duffel bags that lined the width of Chloe's pickup truck.
"Dude, what's all this? You have that many clothes, or what?" she quizzed her.
"Oh, you know, this and that. You'll see. Ugh, just remembered I have to go back to hell..."
"Surprised you didn't join me in the exclusive I told Principal Wells to suck it and got expelled forever club," Chloe replied, still proud of sticking it to the man.
"With every passing day, I inched closer to joining you, but I didn't because... well, because of you. And because of something... else."
That... didn't make sense to Chloe. Her little stoner brain struggled to comprehend that sentence...
"You're making no sense, Rachel. The hell are you on about?"
"I mean, I graduated because I was promised a windfall of money if I did, by you know who."
Rachel shuddered at the thought of her lying, deceitful excuse of a dad. But money is money, so Rachel just nodded and kept on going, motivated by a future with Chloe and the promise of a windfall of cash from a disgraced "parental figure".
Worth. It.
Still rusted and adorned with the pirate flag from the junkyard, Chloe's truck had seen better days and wasn't the pinnacle of comfort. The seats were about as comfortable as a church pew, and it felt like the truck could just fall apart at any time... but it worked, and it was going to get them to Los Angeles... hopefully.
It was time to amp up the intensity of their last day. Chloe was content to just quietly disappear from Arcadia Bay, unnoticed, and its citizens unbothered by her and Rachel's absence. Rachel, however, wasn't content to simply walk away peacefully. She needed anarchy AND chaos.
With anarchy and chaos pumping through her blood, she turned to Chloe and said:
"Say, how are we gonna say goodbye to this shithole?"
"I dunno, just... leave, I guess? Like, there's nothing to celebrate about this place."
WRONG.
The celebrations were about to begin...
"Remember how you bragged to me about how you tagged the bathroom at Blackwell from top to bottom when you got expelled? I was hella impressed by that, and that gave me an idea..."
Rachel hopped out of the truck to get something from the trunk as Chloe slowly realised what Rachel was about to suggest...
And with a rhythmic knock on the window, she looked to see Rachel holding two cans of spray paint.
"Oh, fuck yes!" Chloe excitedly replied.
She rolled down the window as Rachel leaned on it, and gave her a telling look. The kind of look that says "let's tag that hellhole from top to bottom, and ruin it in chaotic and spectacular fashion".
There was no hesitation from Chloe. She was all in on Rachel's grand plan.
"Dude, I haven't had this much excitement since... I dunno. Had a shitty life before you came along. My dad died, then Max ditched me, then my mom tried to replace my real dad with a dickhead... fuck."
Rachel related to that. Her dad was a liar, and her mom was forcibly cut out of her life by her dad... they were both in need of freedom from the shackles of a broken family.
"I get it. Remember how we took out our anger on those bottles in the junkyard? Well, how about we take our destructive tendencies to the centre stage? That school took so much from us. It's... ugh. We need to do this, understand?"
She held Chloe's hand and kissed her on the cheek before heading round and joining her in the passenger seat.
"But what if we get caught? Like you can stroll on in there because of your thing... but me? I don't belong there. I'm expelled, remember? And I can only play the uterus card so many times before Skip finally grows a pair and tells me to fuck off..." Chloe said.
Worried about getting caught in a revolution? Who. The. Fuck. Cares.
That's exactly what Rachel told her. Who cares? Go out in a blaze of glory. Make the front page news. Tell the world what you really think. Fuck Blackhell to the end of the earth and back. Its name described exactly how they felt about it: it was a black hell of bricks and mortar, occupied by the people they despise the most.
Rachel's rousing words were all Chloe needed to hear. She cranked up the stereo to max, and they headed towards the school.
It was happening. It was really happening. They were getting out. Nothing could stop them now.
They just needed to cause a little chaos beforehand.
Blackwell... Blackhell... whatever it was, it was still unfortunately standing, spotless as ever. The shining beacon of Arcadia Bay. Owned by the elite, governed by the elite, populated by the elite. What Chloe and Rachel would give to take a baseball bat and smash the place to bits.
Both of them just looked at the plain, boring, bland exterior. It was a blank slate, just waiting for someone to tag it from top to bottom, inside and out.
"Can't believe that I once went to school there," Chloe said as she sparked up a cigarette.
"You remember how I coaxed you into being Ariel in the school production of The Tempest?" Rachel replied with a smirk on her face.
Chloe wanted to die right then and there.
Who could forget such a... inspired, albeit partly improvised, performance? And having to wear a ridiculous bird costume...
"Such a shame that a promising thespian would resort to such... vulgar actions as a parting gift to Arcadia Bay..." Rachel sarcastically said to Chloe.
"Yeah, a real shame..." Chloe sarcastically replied as she tossed her finished cigarette out of the window.
"You know, Mikey and Steph keep asking about you, wanting to know how you're getting on."
How could Chloe forget about the two nerds? About how they convinced her to join them for a game of Dungeons & Dragons? How, despite being brand new to the game, she crushed it. Maybe it would be nice to see them one final time and say goodbye. But reality soon kicked in, and Chloe sighed as she said to Rachel:
"Too bad I'm expelled. I even set one foot on school grounds, and they'll call in the military. I'm that special..."
"You're a riot, Chloe Price. But don't worry, we can say goodbye quietly before we tear this place apart."
Chloe desperately wanted to spark up again to calm her nerves, but they could only hold off on their little revolution for so long... it was time to finally break some rules and set foot onto the very ground she was permanently banned from.
Suck it, Blackhell, these boots were made for walkin'!
As Chloe hopped out of the truck, Rachel handed her the lighter of the two bags.
And for the first time in what felt like an eternity, Chloe Price marched onto the grounds of Blackwell Academy. The last time she was there, she had just finished tagging the bathroom after getting expelled. Now, together with Rachel, she was going to tag so much more than that.
She could picture everything she remembered from her time there. Listening to Skip's songs, dunking on Principal Wells after deliberately walking on a stage, playing Dungeons & Dragons with Steph and Mikey, bumping into Rachel Amber...
Now she was preparing to wreck the place with one of the most gifted students to ever grace the halls of Blackwell Academy... and she was dating her.
The front of the school was still adorned with posters for all the cliques. From dumbass film clubs, to... the Vortex Club?
"HA! Rachel, check this out. Looks like the two rich kids want to start their own little fan club. Makes me sick..."
"Wow... I literally have no words. Say, that poster looks too bare. Maybe you should... liven it up?"
Chloe instantly got to work. They say masterpieces take time... but Chloe's latest piece was done in record time. Now it read:
Bitch boy and bitch girl want attention! Give me a fucking break...
"No notes, Chloe. None. I want to get this framed for our apartment in LA!" an enthusiastic Rachel said to Chloe.
And that was just the start. But before they could fully unleash their artistic potential, Rachel guided Chloe through the doors of Blackwell Academy, and soon enough, they bumped into Steph and Mikey.
Their faces were a mixture of emotions. Shock, surprise, happiness, excitement, etc. What was Chloe Price doing back at Blackwell Academy? With Rachel Amber, too? What could they possibly be doing?
They had so many questions.
"Hey, Chloe! I... I um, didn't expect to see you back here, especially because you're... you know, expelled. But I guess you're not here to make peace, are you?" Steph said, wise as ever, to Chloe's shenanigans.
"Chloe! You, um... you wanna play again sometime? We crushed it our first time around. Steph's been real busy cooking up a cool adventure, and we could always use a kickass adventurer to join our party..." Mikey asked Chloe, oblivious to what was actually going on.
Steph and Mikey. Two of the anomalies of Blackwell Academy. No rich parents, no egos, just cool people... well, at least to Chloe and Rachel, they were. Fuck what everyone else thinks.
Steph noticed the duffel bags they were carrying.
"Either you've just robbed a bank, or you're planning on skipping town. Let me guess, you robbed a bank..."
A confident Chloe opened her duffel bag to reveal the many spray cans enclosed. Steph and Mikey leaned in to take a look, before they looked at each other and finally realised what was about to happen...
"Oh my god, really?! Remember how I once told you that Principal Wells was on the warpath? That was when you were still here. Just imagine if he caught you now..." Steph said.
Mikey had something else on his mind.
"Chloe, just promise me you'll leave mine and Drew's room alone, please?"
"Yeah, 'course. Just don't tell anyone, ok?"
Thankfully, Mikey was no snitch. Despite her rebellious behaviour, Chloe was a good friend to him.
Steph was, too. She sort of just... shrugged her shoulders, as if she didn't really care what Chloe and Rachel were about to do. Rachel noticed and asked her:
"You good, Steph? I know we don't talk much, but..."
"You know what? I am. I graduated, got a good grade. Now I'm headed for Seattle to study video game design. After that? Who knows. I kind of want to hang out in Colorado..."
If there was one person who deserved a happy ending, apart from Rachel, it was Steph. Rachel smiled as she conversed with Steph about their graduation. Chloe just nodded her head every time Rachel said something, because socialising was still too tiring for her.
Waiting, waiting, waiting... WAITING FOR A REVOLUTION. HURRY UP!
Chloe was becoming agitated. Too much stalling, and eventually, either Principal Wells or Skip would rumble them. As much as she had a lot of time for Steph and Mikey, she knew that their revolution had to start imminently. She gently nudged Rachel, tapping her wrist.
It was so long, farewell, see you soon, for Steph and Mikey. Their paths were diverging, but their friendship with Chloe and Rachel remained. Maybe their paths might cross again...
But for now, at long last, Chloe was free of her social obligations. Now she was ready to tag the place to hell and back... but where to start? That was the question on her mind. Fortunately, Rachel knew just the place to start.
She led Chloe to the bathroom. Chloe could hardly believe she was back in the place where she obliterated every wall and cubicle with her graffiti. And now she would get the opportunity to do it all again, on a much larger scale.
Chloe was itching to tag it all again, but Rachel had something planned. A little something to liven it up, something... fashionable. Something... gay.
The duffel bag opened, and Rachel surprised Chloe with matching suits. These suits... they were crazy. Crazy good. And expensive...
"Holy FUCK! Dude, this shit must be so expensive. Let me guess, you exploited your dumbass dad again?"
"Yeah. He's been trying desperately to mend the bridges he burned. But... you know what? Fuck him. He's dead to me."
And in the blink of an eye, they were wearing their suits. They owned the world. Everyone was beneath them. The suits granted them the awesome powers of being gay and all the benefits that come with it.
But the surprises were not done there. A pair of expensive sunglasses was in her hand, and before Chloe knew it, she tucked them into the top pocket of the blazer.
Now they looked the part. Rachel was head over heels for Chloe, and Chloe... she basically wanted to fuck Rachel right then and there...
Suddenly, the door swung open, and guess who was there?
Victoria Chase. Snobby, full of herself, and yet again glued to her phone. She didn't even step one foot into the bathroom before Chloe and Rachel screamed:
"FUCK OFF!"
She immediately turned around and left, startled. It happened again to her, walking in at the wrong time. Unlucky...
Maybe that was harsh? She had worked so hard to be in such a position and was such a humble... HA HA HA, bye bye! Enjoy BlackHELL, DEMON.
With that... unfortunate disturbance over and done with, Chloe opened her duffel bag and tossed Rachel a spray can.
It was time. Time to salute Blackwell Academy with middle fingers and ruin its reputation.
The female revolution was about to begin in Arcadia Bay, and they were not ready for what was about to happen.
What to write, what to write...
The spray cans and Chloe's pen were itching to get to work. Rachel, as courteous as ever, let Chloe go first. But what to write?
"You good there, Chloe? Don't tell me you're getting cold feet..." Rachel asked Chloe.
"Cold feet? Fuck no. I just... don't know what to write," Chloe replied.
Inspiration was needed. Rachel seized the initiative and kick-started their revolution by tagging the mirror with a message that would supercharge Chloe's creative urge.
In trouble with Skip? Just say "uterus"!
"Oh hell YES!" Chloe ecstatically said, grabbing her spray can.
And just like that, they got to work. The once-naked walls of the bathroom were quickly filled with obscene, "thought-provoking" messages. Good luck cleaning up their mess, Samuel the creep/janitor.
Once they were in their flow, they were unstoppable.
Could the REAL Nathan Prescott please stand up and shoot himself?
"Damn, Chloe. You really hate him, don't you?"
Of course she does. Gone was the innocent, nerdy bitch boy, replaced by... a puberty-ridden, egotistical, snarky piece of shit. So the perfect match for Victoria Chase! And the Vortex Club? It reeked of rich, white, straight kids trying their best to be deities.
And Victoria Chase? The girl who stole the role of Prospera from Rachel in The Tempest? Oh, and she also tried to dose Rachel's tea before Chloe guilt-tripped her into submission and forced her to resign her role back to Rachel.
"You know what, Rachel? I think you should leave a little message for Victoria..." Chloe suggested, pointing to the last empty spot in the bathroom.
"Yeah, I really should..." Rachel replied.
Drugged my tea, stole my role, Victoria Chase belongs in this shithole.
Rachel Amber: thespian, anarchist, and now a budding poet. Chloe gave her a high five, firmly approving the message she had written. Nathan and Victoria deserved each other, and whatever they get up to, Rachel and Chloe will be long gone.
They stepped back to admire their work. The bathroom was no longer a bland, boring waste of space. Now it was adorned with the truth. No more secrets to hide.
Now it was time to take their destructive behaviour to the walls, doors, lockers, and display cabinets that lined the walls of Blackwell Academy.
Oh, to be young, free, and front page news in a town you no longer live in...
"Let's get this show over with, Chloe," Rachel said, as she began tearing down posters, ripping them to shreds, before tagging the walls and lockers.
Once one poster fell, so did the rest. And the messages kept on coming.
On one door of a... particular classroom, Chloe wrote:
You WILL die in here. It's not too late... turn back, rich kid.
Apparently, the school was in the process of hiring a rich, famous photographer to teach photography in its next semester. And what kind of nerd, or nerds, would want to study that?
What better way to welcome the new teacher and his new students than with an ominous message on the door? Blackwell only hired rich freaks and gullible geeks, so which one would he be?
And so they arrived at the rich kids' lockers. No surprise that Victoria's was spotless, and Nathan's was... whatever it was. And before tagging it, Chloe decided to commit a small dose of breaking and entering by jimmying open their lockers.
Victoria's locker just reeked of deodorant. Makeup kits, books on... oh, that rich photographer. Who gives a fuck about him? Rachel just rolled her eyes and "accidentally" dropped some of Victoria's workbooks into the trash can.
"Oops. That was an accident. Be a dear and rescue her books for me?"
Chloe laughed as she jimmied open Nathan's locker.
Behind the myriad of textbooks, homework, and countless Vortex Club posters, there was a crudely cut secret stash in the back of the locker. Chloe knew all about that...
"Holy fuck, check this out!" she said, waving a stack of money in front of Rachel.
"Oh, shit. Why does he have that much just lying in his locker? I say... finders keepers."
"You read my mind, Rachel," Chloe replied, stuffing the money in her duffel bag. Looks like she had some more money for weed...
Thanks for the DRUG MONEY, asshole.
Having ransacked Nathan's locker and tagged it appropriately, they soon arrived at Principal Wells' office. Inside, they could hear a back-and-forth conversation between him and what sounded like students. Looks like they were getting a pep talk before they welcomed the next set of prospective students.
But his door... it was a blank canvas. It was practically begging to be tagged. Chloe happily obliged, as Rachel wandered over to the trophy cabinet.
Chloe Price OWNED you. The future is FEMALE, Principal Dicks.
She was in the midst of admiring her latest work when the sudden smashing of glass interrupted her.
Not the first time Rachel Amber had smashed something in a fit of rage.
"Dude! What the hell?" Chloe said.
"It was locked, and I wanted to get in. A girl can do what she wants to do. Anyways, I feel like we deserve a trophy for all our wonderful work."
Rachel grabbed the closest trophy to hand and tossed it towards Chloe, who hastily grabbed it. It... Rachel... whatever. It was Rachel. She had an aura about her. Saying no to her was a declaration of war. And Chloe wasn't prepared to oppose the girl she loved.
A few more trophies "accidentally" got thrown out by Rachel. Once she entered her destructive phase, it was very hard to get her out.
Chloe looked around, taking in the chaos they had already caused. Torn posters on the floor, graffiti EVERYWHERE, smashed glass, and trophies scattered. Now this was a revolution...
And before they knew it, they stood at the main doors to Blackwell Academy. But yet again, something was lacking. The floor... it was spotless. Too spotless. It sickened them both. Something had to be done about that.
Don't look UP.
By the time Chloe realised what needed to be done, Rachel had already done it. Now it was Chloe's turn. But... there was nothing to look up at on the ceiling.
Then it came to her. The only appropriate thing to be tagged on the ceiling. Now, how to reach up there and tag it...
But, just like magic, she spotted a ladder that must've been left there by Samuel the creep/janitor. What a coincidence.
Rachel put the ladder into position, right underneath her message. Chloe barely managed to keep a straight face as she drew a pair of tits on the ceiling and wrote:
Made you look, pervert.
Chef's kiss. 10/10.
"Damn, Chloe. Yet another masterpiece. But your best work is still to come... holster those spray cans, babe. Let's go out-"
"HEY! What the... who-"
Skip Matthews. Resident "security" guard and part-time band member. He once had the audacity to try and prevent Chloe Price from entering the boys' dorms, only to be embarrassed by her. Something about a uterus...
Chloe and Rachel turned around, much to the joy and dismay of Skip. One side of him was happy to see Chloe again, appreciative of her support for his band. The other side, the dreaded work side, looked around at the chaos and destruction and looked... out of his depth.
When he finally finished looking around, he finally flipped. No more Mr. Nice Guy...
"I need you two to stay where you-"
But Chloe and Rachel were not there. They were outside, having sneaked away before Skip could notice in time. Chloe was pressed right up against the glass as she had a massive, smug grin on her face. Yet again, Skip had lost. It was game, set, and match for a second time.
He hurried over to Principal Wells' office, barging in and interrupting him. Outside, in the hallways, students and teachers had begun to gather, bewildered at the destruction and graffiti. The phones were out, pictures and videos were being taken, much to the delight of Rachel.
Out came the sunglasses as the bus of prospective students pulled up outside the front of Blackwell Academy. Everyone on that bus had witnessed Chloe add the final touch to the doors of Blackwell. In huge red graffiti, it read:
Welcome to BlackHELL.
And as she finished spray painting the last of that, Rachel grabbed her hand as they turned away, tossing the cans over their shoulders, looking at each other with enormous satisfaction.
Mission. Accomplished. See you in hell, BlackHELL.
More people had gathered outside, looking at the huge, spray-painted message left behind. Passersby stopped in shock, getting their phones out, documenting what they saw.
And they saw two classy girls, donned in jaw-dropping, matching, black suits with sunglasses, walk away from the scene of the crime with smiles on their faces.
As soon as the prospective students stepped off the bus, their mouths were wide open. Not the welcome party they were expecting...
"HEY! Stop where you are, IMMEDIATELY."
The booming voice of Principal Wells as he and Skip Matthews looked around, surveying the students present and future with their phones out. Principal Wells tried to assure them that the situation was all under control. No one was buying that bullshit.
Chloe couldn't resist giving him one last message. She turned around, with both middle fingers up, and said:
"So long, Principal Dicks!"
And even Rachel joined in, also putting up her middle fingers, before turning to Chloe and saying:
"Last one to the car is a total loser!"
There was no chance Chloe was going to catch her. Years of smoking and toking had their effect on her. But who cares? They were out of there.
With that in mind, she took her sweet time, taking in the attention they were getting. She was in awe at the mess they had left, and the rage of Principal Wells? That was worth the price of admission... and expulsion a thousand times over.
She was just about done, ready to check out of Arcadia Bay, and finally head to the "City of Dreams". And Rachel Amber, her girlfriend, was coming with her.
Chloe was on cloud nine as she made her way back to her truck, where Rachel was waiting, tapping her wrist.
Suddenly, her euphoric high was interrupted as she bumped into one of the prospective students, knocking the vintage camera out of her hands.
"Hey, watch where you're-"
NO. WAY.
This was NOT happening...
Chloe looked at the crestfallen, yet stunned, mystery girl staring at her... and the startling revelation of who that person was shook her to the core.
"Max?!"
...
"Chloe?!"
