“Phainon.”
Said man perks up at the call of his name and it’s- it’s ridiculous, paired with those fluffy ears. Truly ridiculous. But it might be the cutest thing Khaslana has ever seen.
Khaslana tugs lightly at one of Phainon’s ears, the folded one, until it stands up straight. “Have you always had these?”
Phainon’s mouth drops open in a small o. He doesn’t seem to bother checking for the ears himself, but he does grope blindly around behind him, seemingly searching for the matching tail to go with.
It takes a second, but he finds it, curled up against his lower back, already swishing back and forth in a small happy wag.
“Eh…?” He drags his wide eyes back to Khaslana. “You’re kidding…”

They thought this whole sudden transformation issue was behind them, and then one day Phainon gains his own pair of puppy ears and a tail that just won’t stop wagging. Khaslana… deals with it.
