    But he’s already walking.

    She sips from her drink as he nears—eyes never leaving his, lips still curled around the cup like it’s part of the performance.

    Then, without a second thought, she passes the cup back to Scott like it was never hers.

    Doesn’t say a word to him.

    Just turns her attention to Remy, sunglasses catching the light from where they’re still perched in her hair.

    “You like watching,” she says, smooth as anything, “or were you planning on joining?”
