Summary
Jacob and Edward have been natural enemies for years, but a series of clashes between their clans forces them to collaborate when the Volturi begin to move into Forks. Despite initial mistrust, an intense attraction arises between them, confusing both Edward and Jacob. At first, they both try to ignore it, attributing their feelings to tensions between their species.
However, Jacob's heat suddenly kicks in in the middle of a night patrol, and Edward, unable to resist the force of the chemistry between them, ends up giving in to his Alpha instincts.
