Submitting to a slave master was involuntary. It was the smell of sweat on his own skin from fear—the hot, cutting sting of a whip or a crop on his small, trembling back, the sickness of a nervous stomach as he tried to explain a minuscule mistake or trespass of rules that blows up into a full interrogation. Those few days under Darth Sidious’s complete control were not so different. So gullible?
