Summary
Shishikuno Mogari and Issei Fukumitsu met when the latter transferred to Mogari’s hometown, Akita.
Mogari was always treated differently by his peers, because he was destined to succeed as the heir to his family’s title as exorcists. It was a miracle his family even allowed him to frequent middle school.
But Fukumitsu didn’t seem to care much about the boy’s status or family. And so, they became friends.
The Shishikuno family couldn’t allow such friendship. At all.
With a cruel plan to bring the heir back to the “right” path, Fukumitsu and Mogari’s friendship was over. After claiming that he went to Fukumitsu’s place only for convenience, how could it not have broken? Or so the boy thought.
It had been a few years since Mogari ever saw Fukumitsu again. He never got to apologize and tell him how much he actually appreciated him. But it was meaningless crying over the past. He was in Kamakura now, ready to pursue his own journey.
Two weeks later, Fukumitsu appeared in that same city. Perhaps, it could’ve been a way to embrace their friendship once again?
Yet, something feels wrong.
