Summary
When an uncontrollable virus begins to rampage through the west, turning humans into hosts for a rabid infection, the United States government fails to protect most of its people. They lock who they can away in a fortress of barbed fences, and leave the rest to die in the wilderness, or be bombed in zombie-infested cities. One man holds the key to making a cure to the virus, years of research he protected from an attack with the help of a defected raider. A young girl is slowly losing her grip on reality and failing to conceal it, while the people around her struggle to survive. There is little hope for the future for the people locked outside of the QZ, and new trouble always seems to be just around the corner.
