Summary
It was obvious that Sonic and Shadow had feelings for each other. Shadow never bothered to hide it because, well, why should he? If people have a problem with it, they can deal with him face-to-face. But, Sonic... He's always had his reservations about certain things. Being the world's favorite hero meant you landed in the spotlight more often than you wanted to, and some things were just meant to be private. They never really bothered to address the differences in their expectations of each other until years later when Shadow meets someone at work. With the years of Sonic's ambivalence weighing on him... He finally decides to stop waiting on Sonic's indecisiveness and calls... whatever they had... quits.
