“What?” Buck asked, confusion evident.
“Oh, nothing,” Hen laughed, her eyes sparkling with mirth.
“Just admiring this really good sketch,” Chimney added cheekily.
“Why don’t you take a look, Buck?” Hen said, trying to suppress her giggle as she handed the sketchbook to him. Buck’s gaze shifted to the page, as Eddie realised what Buck was looking at, the colour drained from his face —a portrait capturing Buck’s joyful expression, the same one he wore when talking about something new he read about, practically bubbling with excitement.
“You drew me?” Buck’s smile widened, a mix of surprise and delight illuminating his features.
