Summary
Shoola catches sight of her over Mel’s shoulder. “Your boo thing is here,” she teases.
Mel turns to find Caitlyn approaching. She runs her eyes appreciatively over her uniform-clad body then says, “You’re early.”
Caitlyn clears her throat. “So it seems. Imagine my surprise to find Councilor Shoola and Sevika here. It’s a pleasure to see you all this evening. Elora, a pleasure as always.”
Shoola and Elora smile in greeting. Sevika gestures vaguely in Caitlyn’s direction while looking at Mel. “You’re still screwing the kid?”
Caitlyn flinches as Mel sighs.
“Must you be so vulgar?” they both ask in unison.
Everyone’s eyes widen, but it’s Sevika who speaks. “You two even sound the same.”
“You are similar,” Shoola observes.
Elora smiles. “I think it’s cute.”
Caitlyn smiles back.
“Enough,” Mel says. “Let’s finish up.”
