   Summary

   Tragedy has befallen those that dared to reclaim the city of Khazad-dûm. When word reaches the Lonely Mountain, it almost breaks Dwalin. Nori, on the other hand, is determined to venture across the Wilderland to reclaim the Book of Mazarbul, so that Ori's legend might live on.

   Beginning a decade before the War of the Ring, this is the story of seven dwarves, two wizards, and an elf, on a journey to Moria to discover the fate of Balin's colony, and the events that occur at the Mountain during the Battle of Dale.
