The Dúnedain are sworn to serve and protect the heir of Isildur. Míril, foster daughter of Halbarad, is no different. When Gildor's warning reaches Míril that Gandalf has gone missing she acts once again in service of her chieftain no matter the cost.
But on the eve of the War of the Ring, nightmares of a deep ocean and the drowning of Eärendil's star begin to plague her sleep, causing the Wise in Middle Earth to fear the fiery blood running through her veins can no longer stay hidden. Neither from the Enemy, nor from Míril herself.

Thorin finds himself having to work very hard to protect Bilbo as the hobbit continues to get himself into danger, while Bilbo realizes that he is a magnet to misfortune. The woods is full of peril, including but not limited to confusion, twisted roots, poisonous plants, large spiders, suspicious elves, and vicious orcs.
