Summary
Aboard Galdor's warship, Glorfindel returns in triumph from a dangerous expedition deep into enemy territory. He has found Elrond's missing son, but all is not well: the Elf-child that was abducted by the Corsairs of Umbar is now a Man grown. War and darkness have left Elrohir deeply scarred, and he is not the mission's only casualty.
An alternate universe for the Under Strange Stars series, in which Elrohir goes with Glorfindel instead of running away from him after the events of Under Strange Stars. This story covers the events of ‘Northern Skies’, but it can be enjoyed without having read the original.

This is part 2 of a series, I recommend reading part 1 "Only Blood Can Bind" before reading this piece, but if you're mainly looking for Siege of Eregion fics it works to read this on its own too.
If you read the first part I'm happy to have you back, and I hope you enjoy the continuation of Adar and Alina's story. This is a fix it/what if fic that explores the outcomes of the siege of Eregion if Adar had a loving companion by his side.

This fic continues the story of Adar and his Southlander Alina – once a prisoner and now his wife – as they embark on a new journey to elven lands with the goal of ending Sauron once and for all. This story is about revenge and how far you will go for the one you love, but also potential hope when the loss becomes overwhelming, and how our main characters grapple with that as we learn more about their separate backstories.
This first chapter takes off late at night at camp, where a vulnerable Southlander finally finds the opportunity and courage to open up to her Uruk...

“It can’t go on like this.” He said, his expression dark. “You’re not just sick, Elrond. You’re fading. Mordor is killing you.”
Elrond managed to smile weakly. It was something he’d suspected, but hearing it from Adar confirmed his theory. “I’m sorry.”
Adar looked at him as if he’d lost his mind. “Why are you apologizing? I insisted that you should accompany us here.”
“It’s not your fault either.” He argued softly. “And I wanted to come with you.” It was the truth, he realized that now.
“You will leave tomorrow.” Adar’s words were simple and cold. However, Elrond knew him well enough by now to know that the coldness was a mask. A way to hide his true emotions. “Return to Lindon and take as much time as you need. Get well again. In the meantime, I will make some arrangements so that you will be able to stay here without facing this again.”
Elrond hesitated. “Adar…”
The uruk grabbed his hands. “I need you to heal, Elrond.”After Sauron is defeated, Adar proposes an alliance between elves and uruks. He marries Elrond and they go to Mordor. Only that elves can't last long in the poisoned land. So Adar sends him away, only for Elrond to run into trouble with the dwarves. ELROND x ADAR
