Hasegawa Ken isn’t your average 17-year-old boy, matter of fact he’s probably far from it. He’s unemployed yet makes millions. “How?” You might ask. Easy, by going on quiz shows and winning. He’s never lost, nor gotten a question wrong either.
That’s what makes him special. Maybe more special than others. At the age of 17 he was the Ultimate Quiz Show Champion, but he never knew that. Sure, he was great, maybe even amazing at quiz shows. But the Ultimate Quiz Show Champion seems too much.
He loves quiz shows, he loves researching, and loves studying. And, yet that was the very thing that landed him in a killing game. Out of everyone in the world, He was chosen for a killing game, and he had no fucking clue. Not until he had woken up somewhere that isn’t his own room.
He woke up in…a laundry room? The more strange thing is that there were 15 others. How did they all end up here, and why?

But it was only bound to get worse from here. He should’ve known from the start it wasn’t gonna be good. I mean, if you got kidnapped you would assume the worst right? Apparently not. It wasn’t until a white glowing rabbit showed up.
“Hello students. I see some of you are still quite dizzy. Please take some time to settle. I need all of you to be fully conscious for this information.” The rabbit said.
“W-where are we?” A tall dark-blue haired guy asked.
“I was going to get to that. You are all here to play a game.”
“I’m not going to play some stupid game” a muscular red-head mumbled. She tries to leave but the rabbit informs that they can’t leave.
“Welcome to Fujioka Memorial High school. This is the building that you will call home for the foreseeable future. That future may be a couple of days, or it may be forever. Ultimately, the decision is yours-“ the rabbit gets interrupted by a tiger. It’s strange, no? A tiger with a bunch of students. Seems dangerous but the guy handling the tiger reassures that she isn’t harmful.
“What do you mean the decision is ours? And how do we escape?” A girl with brown hair and a red uniform asks.
“I was going to get to that.” The rabbit states. “The only way to escape this building is to kill somebody.”
“W-what?”
“The game you are here to play is a game of life and death. Nobody is allowed to leave until somebody wins.”
“To win is to kill one of your peers without being caught, or you must survive through 5 trials and reach the game's ending state.”
“If a student is found guilty of murder in a class trial, they too will meet with the fate of death. Death is the only way to lose this game, it isn’t so hard.”

It’s been 6 days since we’ve all woken up here. To play a killing game. We’ve tried to escape through a vent but can’t, thankfully nobody has killed yet. Since no one has been killed yet, 3 days ago we got a so-called “motive”. This “motive” doesn’t let us sleep until somebody kills another person. If we are on the verge of falling asleep, then an alarm will play. The same will happen if we fall asleep but we’ll get punished.
It’s definitely been hard to not be able to sleep and even harder that we have to play morning games. These morning games have not been fun for anyone. It’s revealed all of our secrets, revealed our personal life, and made us hurt each other, or ourselves. And because of these morning games I got branded, it wasn’t fun at all.
Kazutoshi did get mad at me for not giving the punishment to him, but I don’t regret it. He helped me to get it disinfected and we talked for a bit, he then went to go to the kitchen to get something to eat. I don’t really know much after that, but during the time he was gone an alarm went off for someone sleeping.
The rabbit said in the announcement that we’ll be getting a punishment soon. It didn’t specify at all what the punishment was gonna be, so everyone is probably scared or worried. I’m trying to come up with potential punishments, but it’s kinda hard to think about knowing that it can be literally anything while having just a weird feeling.
Hopefully the punishment isn’t dangerous, but it’s a killing game. It’s what to be expe-

Out of nowhere someone screams. It sounds like a man’s scream? Hasegawa‘s head perks up out of distress. Who was that?
Hasegawa decides to just stay in the medbay where he is. Maybe it’s best to just stay where he is for now.
But, then a few minutes later Hayashi walks in to inform him that Sasaki wants a meeting right now in the dining room. She’s going to get everyone for the meeting. As Hasegawa walks to the dining room his only conclusion for a meeting at this time has to be involved with the alarm. Maybe it’s to see if anyone had gotten punished? One can only wonder.
As Hasegawa enters, multiple people are already there. Sasaki, Hiroaki,…Ojima? Wait a minute….why is Ojima a female? As Hasegawa looks around more he notices more people who are… quite different?
What is happening? Why are they genderbent? Sadly, Hasegawa can only ask questions currently. More people enter as time passes by, a female Yanagi, Kazutoshi, Chiba, Female Harada, as well as Female Hama? Jeez, this is abnormal.
As everyone has now entered, Sasaki speaks up “Alright, listen up everybody. This situation is definitely strange, but we have to remain calm-“
The Fashion designer interrupts “How the hell am I supposed to stay calm?! Takeshi is a fucking female for crying out loud!”
“Hiroaki, how does Ojima being a female affect you?”
“I-it’s just strange!” Hiroaki cries out.
“I- sighs - Moving on from that we all know our situation, correct?” Sasaki questions. Everybody stays silent, probably in agreement.
“Good, well thankfully only 6 people are affected and not anymo-“
“That’s not corre-“ A shriek interrupted the rabbit. Hasegawa questioned. Why is the rabbit even here?
“I…what do you mean that’s not correct. Are there more people affected?” Sasaki asks.
“Yes, half of the class got punished.” The rabbit corrects. Half? But there’s only 6?
“But the only people who are affected are Ojima, Hama, Harada, Tamba, Watari, and Yanagi-”
“Hanano, I think you may be affected as well.” Watari notifies.
“Oh…well I stand by my point, if only 7 people are known to be affected, who's the 8th person?” Okazaki questions. ”Everybody looks normal, except those 7. So who could be the 8th genderbent person?”
“It is up to the genderbent person to inform you guys.” The rabbit replied.
“You can’t even tell us?” Chiba asks.
“I have just stated that. Please, continue on with your daily activities. You have another game today.” The rabbit stated. Right, another awful morning game.
“W-well can’t the genderbent person just say that they’re affected? It’s not really a problem?” Tsuno suggests, followed by Tsuno is silence.
“Well if we don’t even know that they’re genderbent I’m sure they don’t either.” Hayashi adds.
“But how would they NOT know?! And shouldn’t we already know? We can tell Hama’s a female and there’s really not much changes. So how do we not know who the 8th person is?!” Hiroaki complained.
Who could be the genderbent person anyways? I mean it should be obvious, no?
“Hiroaki does have a point.” Hasegawa admitted.
The hell? Does my voice sound different?
“Of course I’m right!” Hiroaki bragged. Maybe I shouldn’t have boosted his ego.
As the group continues talking Kamimura elbows Hasegawa to get his attention.
“Dude you okay? You sound kinda ill.” Kamimura pointed out.
“I-I think I’m fine. Do I really sound that different?” Hasegawa genuinely wanted to know if he sounded weird.
“Not that different but it’s a bit noticeable.”
“If you want I’ll ask Tsuno to check later.” Hasegawa assured. Hopefully he won’t worry much.
“…Fine but I swear to god Hasegawa if you are sick you’re not staying near me at all.” Kamimura exclaimed.
“A-alright, then.”
“…I was joking, idiot.”
“Oh, um right.” Hasegawa muttered.
Sasaki finishes the meeting and lets everyone now split up, everyone goes their separate ways. Hasegawa decides to go to Tsuno in the medbay, just to check if he’s sick or something. He doesn’t really think he’s sick, he’s just doing it to reassure himself and Kazutoshi.

“Uhm, is anyone here?” I called out while entering the medbay.
“Yeah! I’m here.” Tsuno calls out. “Can I help you with anything, Hasegawa?” Tsuno asks.
“Do you think you’re able to check if I caught a fever or something?”
“Oh yeah of course! Have you had any symptoms of a fever?” Tsuno exclaimed.
“Well only a sore throat, but it doesn’t hurt or feel weird.” I say as I take a seat at one of the beds. There’s a ton of symptoms for fevers. Such as runny nose, fatigue, pale skin, sore eyes, sore throat, there’s a ton in general.
“Anything else?” Tsuno asks while writing the stuff I’m saying down.
“No? I-I mean none that I know of.” I sounded nervous saying that.
“Alright, well let me take your temperature.” Tsuno instructed, she gets up from her chair to get a thermometer and takes my temperature. ”Well, your body temperature is normal and well.” Tsuno informs. “So you’re probably not sick or anything!”
If I’m not sick then why do I feel strange? Might just be the sleep I’m missing getting to me, I mean on average adults need 8 hours of sleep.
“I can run more tests to see if you have anything?” Tsuno offers, I decline as thinking there’s no need to and needing to head back to my room.
I thank Tsuno before leaving the medbay and heading back to my room just to do a quick treatment and get back to Kamimura who's probably in the kitchen. As I walk to my room I notice a lot of people’s conversations are about who the 8th genderbent person could be, I do wonder about that myself but we’ll probably find out soon.
I enter my room and head to the bathroom. I do a nightly routine or morning routine? It doesn’t really matter right now, I decide to take a shower before I start my normal routine.
