Tutorial: how to kiss for the first time

Summary:

Yoonchae, at the age of 17, had not yet had her first kiss and whenever she heard her friends of the same age talking about how many boys they had kissed in a week, she felt out of place.

In the midst of so much curiosity, she decides to watch a YouTube tutorial on how to kiss, but ends up not understanding anything. That's when she asks her closest friend, Megan, for a real tutorial.

Work Text:

Yoonchae had already counted the minutes — and the brain cells — she wasted listening to Eunchae talk about boys. It was almost like emotional bingo. Every day, a different name, a new kiss, a new relationship. And none of them lasted long enough to be worth the excitement.

She was practically turning into a plant in her chair at the library. Elbow resting on the table, chin resting on her hand, eyes lost and tired. Her friend's voice seemed distant, entering one ear and exiting the other.

"What about you?" Eunchae snapped her fingers in front of her face, bringing her back to reality.

Yoonchae blinked slowly and looked at her.

"Me what?"

"You didn't even hear what I said, did you?"

"No."

Eunchae clicked her tongue against the roof of her mouth and crossed her arms.

"This is a serious matter... I asked how many boys you've been with." Yoonchae grimaced in disgust.

"Is this serious to you?"

"Obviously."

Yoonchae seriously considered pretending to faint. Or just getting up and leaving, just so she wouldn't have to participate in this conversation again.

"You talk as if you were asking me about social inequality."

"Answer me."

"None", she replied, and Eunchae took advantage of the empty library to laugh loudly, disbelieving.

"Are you serious, Yoonchip? Stop lying." She gestured as if explaining an impossible equation. "You're popular, pretty, president of the Student Council. It's not possible that nothing ever happened or that no boy was ever interested in you."

Yoonchae just rolled her eyes.

"They're interested. Too much, unfortunately." She grimaced again as she remembered the unbearable invitations, her Instagram direct messages, the forced flirting in the school hallways. "But it's not about them being interested in me. It's about me wanting to be interested in them. And that... doesn't happen."

"You're weird."

"Thanks. I try."

She didn't understand what was so special about boys to Eunchae. Sometimes she felt like there was something wrong with her because she couldn't feel anything for them, not even the slightest feeling. That's why she felt so out of place in these conversations with Hong or her other friends.

The silence that followed Yoonchae's last words was a relief to her, but it didn't last long, as Eunchae started asking her silly questions again.

"Okay... but has there ever been anyone who made you, I don't know, feel something? Even just a little bit?"

Yoonchae pressed her lips together thoughtfully. There was a name, yes. But it was something she would rather die in denial than admit.

"No... never. And I'm not in a hurry to feel that or see that person arrive, just like you." She decided to tease Eunchae to avoid the subject, and it worked, because her expression turned to indignation.

"Are you saying I'm desperate?" Eunchae pointed her index finger at her own chest. Yoonchae shrugged, a small smile on her lips.

Jeong checked the time on her cell phone and, seeing that there were only two minutes left before the break, got up and grabbed her backpack. Eunchae followed her with her eyes and got up too, waiting for an answer.

"Interpret it however you want." That was the last thing she said before starting to walk toward the library exit. Eunchae, following close behind, was saying things like: "I'm not desperate, I'm looking for true love!" Yoonchae listened to everything in silence, that subject made her sleepy.

The Student Council room was surprisingly empty, which brought a sense of inner peace to Yoonchae as she walked through the door. Spending twenty minutes in silence at school was a rare occurrence, and she had finally achieved it for at least one day. She hated the commotion and loud voices, not to mention the many stares directed at her.

She checked to make sure no one was in the hallway before closing the door and running to throw herself onto the large sofa in the middle of the room. She let out a heavy sigh that seemed to have been bottled up for a long time and pulled her cell phone, untouched until then, from her pants pocket.

Several notifications, but only one caught her attention.

meimei 💗:

have you forgotten me? 🥺

do you hate me? 🥺

Yoonchae smiled as she read the messages, and immediately got into Megan's contact to reply.

You:

i do not hate you

and don't worry about picking me up, lara is coming today, but i still want to see you, it's been a long time...

It took less than five minutes for "typing..." to appear.

meimei 💗:

meimei 💗:

love u

You:

love u too

Yoonchae's smile stretched from ear to ear, and it seemed like her day had improved a hundred percent. Megan is definitely her daily dose of serotonin.

She stared at her phone screen for a few more seconds before turning it off and letting it fall onto her chest. She let out another sigh and closed her eyes, letting herself be overcome by exhaustion. She hadn't slept enough, as she had stayed up late working on a new Council project.

Her eyelids were heavy. She thought about just keeping her eyes closed and sleeping until a student or janitor came into the room and told her it was time to leave.

But, unfortunately, her thoughts were interrupted when she heard the Council door slowly open. Yoonchae didn't even bother to open her eyes to see who it was.

"Sorry, were you napping? I was walking down the hallway and saw that the door was half-open," Yoonchae mentally berated herself for not closing the door properly. "I was curious and decided to take a look... I swear I'm not stalking you or anything."

It took Yoonchae a few seconds to open her eyes and look at the boy's face, which was half hidden behind the door. He seemed to be waiting for her permission to enter the room.

Yoonchae sat up straight on the sofa and yawned.

"Come in, Soul. And close the door." The redhead smiled and did as Yoonchae asked.

This is Haku Shota, or Soul, as he likes to be called. He is one of many boys who are in love with Yoonchae at her school, and the only one she pays attention to and does not ignore. The Japanese boy is respectful and does not push himself on her like the others, besides being fun. Yoonchae considers him her friend.

The first time Soul spoke to Yoonchae, he was shaking from head to toe. He appeared in the Student Council room in the middle of a reunion with a white rose in his hand and his eyes wide as if he had seen a ghost.

"S-sorry to interrupt, guys, but I need to say something to Yoonchae." Yoonchae kept a serious expression, already knowing what it was about. The boy was completely red and stumbling over his words.

He walked quickly toward Yoonchae and held the rose in front of her face. His fingers had a few scratches, probably caused by the thorns on the flower. She carefully took the rose and looked at the boy, waiting for him to say what he had to say.

"I stole it from my neighbor for you." He gave a shy smile and Yoonchae's eyes widened. "And I'm sorry to bother you right now, but I needed to tell you that I really like you, Yoonchae. Would you like to go on a date with me?"

The room fell into an awkward silence after his question, which only increased his embarrassment. The other Council members looked at each other, and some whispering could be heard. Yoonchae decided to react when she noticed that the boy had started to shake even more.

"Sorry, Shota, but no", she said curtly, looking him in the eye.

He just swallowed hard, nodded, apologized again for interrupting, and quickly left the room. And Yoonchae simply sighed and returned to talking about the subject of the reunion, without giving the other members a chance to make jokes or ask questions.

Even after that embarrassing episode, Soul didn't stop showing up or trying to talk to Yoonchae, which didn't surprise her, since the other boys, after being rejected by her, usually continued to bother her. But Soul wasn't a nuisance, because he didn't come back to declare his feelings again, but to try to at least be friends with Jeong. And he succeeded.

"Here, I bought this for you." Soul handed Yoonchae a raspberry lollipop after sitting down on the arm of the sofa. She took the candy and thanked him quietly. "I've never been here before. I thought it would be more organized." He looked at the papers scattered haphazardly on the table to his right and the various paper balls scattered around the room.

"This room is never completely organized", Yoonchae said as she unwrapped the lollipop and popped it into her mouth.

"Why aren't you with your friends today? You always spend recess with them", he asked, swinging his feet in the air.

"Because I can't stand them talking about men or trying to find one for me anymore." Soul laughed at the answer. "But I also wanted to get away from all that fuss for a while."

"It's really noisy, but today they're more connected to their cell phones. The school gossip Instagram has been updated, and there's another rumor about you, haven't you seen it?" Yoonchae raised her eyebrows, but she wasn't surprised.

"As usual, these people have nothing better to do. I blocked their account because they kept tagging me in posts, but show me that." Soul took his phone out of his pocket and moved to sit next to Yoonchae.

He opened Instagram and searched for the account, clicking on the profile right away. There were over 100 posts. Soul clicked on the most recent one, posted 10 minutes ago.

"anonymous

no rumors, just the truth

the captain of the basketball team is cheating on his girlfriend with the history teacher to get good grades"

"That was deep", Soul murmured.

"I don't know how they haven't taken down that profile yet..." Yoonchae shook her head.

Soul scrolled through the feed, stopping at the exact post.

"anonymous

rumors that jeong yoonchae is a lesbian"

"Oh", Yoonchae said as she finished reading the sentence. Many rumors had already been made up about her, but this was the first time she had been rumored to be a lesbian. It left her feeling thoughtful.

"The comments are ridiculous", Soul said as he entered the comments section of the post.

"i don't think so, actually i think she pretends to be mysterious to get attention"

"wasn't she dating that guy soul? he's the only man i see her talking to for more than three minutes without rolling her eyes"

"just because the girl isn't needy and doesn't want a relationship right now, does that mean she's a lesbian? you guys are crazy as fuck"

"i hope she is, i think she's cute"

Yoonchae laughed at the last comment, not knowing that there were girls interested in her too. The other comments were just boys complaining and saying they had lost a chance they never had in the first place.

"You have a lot of admirers", Soul commented, and Yoonchae laughed.

"Boys are boring."

"I confess that I also thought you were a lesbian", Soul said, and Yoonchae looked at him.

"Do I look like one?", she asked genuinely. Soul looked at her, analyzing her.

"Maybe", he replied, laughing afterwards. Yoonchae stared into space. She didn't laugh, not because she didn't find it funny, but because it had made her even more thoughtful.

"It's funny. Not even my friends thought of that. And they're always analyzing me as if they were underpaid therapists. They just think I haven't found the right guy yet."

Soul gave a half smile, resting his elbow on the back of the sofa.

"It's just that sometimes, those closest to you can't see. They're too busy trying to fit you into the expectations they've created."

Yoonchae looked at him longer than she usually allowed herself to. Her thoughts wandered to places she never let anyone else in.

"You know..." she began, looking away. "I've thought about that possibility too. But I always pushed it out of my mind and told myself that it's just a matter of time before I find a boy who makes me feel something. I still believe that, but I also feel like it's never going to happen."

Soul was silent for a moment, staring at the floor. He seemed to be trying to choose the right words.

"Maybe what you're waiting for isn't a boy", his voice came out low. Yoonchae looked away from him again. "I mean, what makes you feel something can come from anywhere. Anyone."

Yoonchae sighed. It hammered in her head harder than she imagined, but she wanted to get away from that subject, feeling like her mind would explode if she thought about it any longer.

"And you... why you still look for me?", she asked, biting her lollipop. "Even after what happened. I never got around to asking you that."

Soul looked up and laughed.

"Because you let me. You said no, but you didn't push me away. And you're also a good friend. And I'm over you now." He smiled victorious and patted his own chest, which made Yoonchae laugh sincerely.

"You're a good friend too, Soul."

Right after Yoonchae finished her sentence, the bell signaling the end of recess rang throughout the school. Soul whimpered at that moment.

"Time to get back to reality", Yoonchae muttered.

"Hell. Thanks for letting me share the recess with you, even if it was just for a lollipop and a silly post."

"Good lollipop. Better company."

⁽˙³˙⁾

Yoonchae was still stuck on that thought, and it seemed like she was getting more desperate by the minute. She had never thought about maybe liking girls for so long, and now she was connecting the dots, which scared her. There are things in life that are right in front of her, but she doesn't notice them.

She thought about the whole issue of never being interested in any boys and feeling like a failure because of it. She thought about the jokes her friends made about her with some boy, and the confused discomfort it caused her. She thought about the times she found herself staring too much at the girls at her school. She thought about Soul and wondered why she couldn't feel anything for him, even though he was so good and nice to her. And, especially, she thought about Megan. Who was the one she least wanted to think about.

When Eunchae asked if she had ever felt anything for anyone, it was Megan she thought of.

When Soul said that maybe what she was waiting for wasn't a boy.

Yoonchae thinks about Megan too much, more than she should. And she felt cruel for it. As if the simple fact of associating her name with what she was feeling was wrong. Invasive, perhaps. But it was inevitable.

Megan is everything.

She knew when Yoonchae wasn't feeling well, even when she didn't show it. She always paid attention to what Yoonchae said. She always did everything she could to see a smile on her face. She sent messages full of emojis and silly stickers, and always made a point of picking her up from school when she could, even when she was swamped with college work.

Maybe it was the way Megan smiled and her whisker dimples appeared. Or the way Megan's lips looked so kissable. Or the way she held her hand in public. Or maybe it was the way Yoonchae felt she needed to hide the warmth that arose inside her every time Megan called her "baby" or "princess."

Or maybe it was just the way it was beautiful to see Megan exist.

"Yoonchip? We're here", Lara suddenly said, pulling her out of her thoughts. She had been so deep in thought that she hadn't even noticed they had already arrived in front of her house.

She had spent the entire way with her head resting on the window and a distant look in her eyes. It was raining lightly and Ariana Grande's "warm" was playing on Lara's car radio.

She looked at Lara and tried to say something, but nothing came out of her mouth, she just felt her throat tighten. Lara frowned with concern.

"Are you okay, honey? Did something happen?" As soon as Raj asked this, she felt tears streaming down her cheeks. "Oh, my God."

Lara unbuckled her seatbelt and Yoonchae's and immediately pulled her into a hug. Yoonchae's crying intensified. She buried her face in Lara's shirt, soaking the fabric. Raj held her tightly and stroked her back. She said nothing. She didn't try to get any explanations, she just let Yoonchae let out what she was feeling.

And the tears seemed endless. Yoonchae never imagined herself crying out of confusion and despair, as she had always been very sure of herself and her feelings. Or maybe she never had been, and time had only shown her that now.

When the crying finally began to subside, she slowly moved away, wiping her face with the sleeve of her sweatshirt, without having the courage to look Lara in the eye.

She never showed vulnerability in front of anyone, and Lara knew that having Yoonchae in this state in front of her meant that something had really affected her.

"Sorry..." she murmured. "It's been a strange day."

Lara held her face gently with both hands.

"Don't apologize for feeling."

Yoonchae looked up and sighed, trying to hold back the tears that wanted to fall again, but failed miserably.

"Shit", she said, her voice breaking. Her face was red with embarrassment, she felt pathetic. "Can I tell you something?"

"Of course you can."

There was silence.

Yoonchae looked at the window behind Lara. The rain was still falling, fine and patient, as if it had all the time in the world. She felt Lara's thumbs dry her tears.

"I think I'm a lesbian." Raj raised her eyebrows and smiled softly.

"And what's wrong with that, sweetie?", Lara asked.

"Nothing, it's just that... I think I like Megan too", Yoonchae said the last part almost in a whisper, as if it were forbidden to say it out loud. "And it's so confusing to me. At the same time that this feeling makes sense, it also seems like it doesn't. I tried to convince myself that my genuine disdain for boys was just a matter of time."

Lara listened silently, her gaze full of care. There was no surprise there. Only understanding.

"And I only realized it today. Actually, I think I always knew, I just denied it to avoid an outburst."

"I already imagined that you felt something for her. I notice that you get nervous around her, and the way you look at her gives you away." Yoonchae bit her lower lip, feeling her face flush again.

"It gives me a strange feeling in my chest, I don't know, fear. Not because I like Megan or because I'm a lesbian, but because I don't like boys."

"It's much easier to accept that you like girls than to accept that you don't like boys."

Yoonchae leaned her head against the passenger seat and closed her eyes.

"I don't know when or how to tell her."

"You don't have to rush. Take your time." Lara smiled and Yoonchae smiled back.

"Thanks, unnie. For the ride and for comforting me."

"No need to thank me, sweetie. Now go get ready, your girlfriend will be here to pick you up soon." Yoonchae laughed, opening the car door.

"She's not my girlfriend."

"Not yet."

⁽˙³˙⁾

The usual shouting when the six girls got together pierced Yoonchae's ears. They were playing Mortal Kombat on Manon's PS5, but they were shouting more than they were playing. And, honestly, Jeong had missed that a lot.

The drive from her house to Manon's was somewhat torturous for her. Megan seemed to get ten times prettier with each passing day, and driving made her even more so. They talked a lot on the way, but Yoonchae was always stumbling over her words because she couldn't take her eyes off Megan's lips.

Now, not much had changed. Yoonchae was sitting on the couch next to Daniela, Manon and Lara were in the kitchen making nachos, and Megan and Sophia were competing to see who was worse at the game. Yoonchae's eyes were glued to Skiendiel, and every time she smiled or bit her lips in concentration, her heart skipped a beat.

"I can read your thoughts", Daniela said suddenly, with a little smile.

Yoonchae felt her cheeks flush and tried to suppress a smile, but she couldn't help herself.

"What do you mean.."

"You look at her like she's prey and you're a hungry lion. Actually, you're more like a kitten"

"I don't know what you're talking about..."

"Go on, do it." Daniela nudged her shoulder. She was feeding Yoonchae's thoughts, and consequently her madness as well.

"How? Ive never done that before, Dani.. I don't even know how to start."

"'Sometimes I forget that you've never kissed anyone. Watch a tutorial on YouTube. When I was your age, I did that." Yoonchae grimaced and immediately refused.

"That's too humiliating. I'd rather not know, or wait for an angel to whisper in her ear and say 'kiss Yoonchae' than watch a tutorial", Yoonchae said, and Daniela laughed, but her laughter was cut short by Sophia's scream, Megan's loud laughter, and the game announcer saying "Johnny Cage wins."

"Your Kitana is nothing compared to my Johnny Cage, Laforteza!" Megan shouted, and then stuck her tongue out at Sophia.

"Fuck you! I don't want to play this anymore", Sophia said, throwing the controller into Daniela's lap and heading for the kitchen.

Daniela looked at Yoonchae and handed her the controller, muttering something like: "I'll leave you two alone", and also headed to the kitchen.

Megan, standing in front of Yoonchae, looked at her with a twinkle in her eyes, as if asking to play with her.

"I'm going to go with Cetrion." Megan smiled, sitting down next to her.

"This time I'm going with Jade"

"I'll crush you no matter what character you choose, you know", Yoonchae said with conviction, making Megan laugh.

"He who laughs last, laughs best."

⁽˙³˙⁾

"Fatality.

Jade wins."

That's what the game announcer said.

Usually, it was always Yoonchae who won in Mortal Kombat against Megan. But for some reason, she wasn't concentrating well because someone else looked too beautiful focused.

And she just couldn't stop thinking about wanting to kiss her.

It was already the third time she had lost due to lack of concentration, and Megan gloated with every fatality Jade dealt to Yoonchae's Cetrion.

"The humiliated have been exalted!", Megan exclaimed as she smiled.

"I let you win every time." Megan laughed, shaking her head.

"Admit that I can be a little skilled at this game against you too." Yoonchae just nodded, which made Megan raise an eyebrow.

Yoonchae was supposed to be threatening revenge, not just accepting defeat so easily.

"Are you okay, baby? You seem uncomfortable about something since I picked you up", Megan asked, and Yoonchae looked at her.

Their faces were too close now, and Megan using that damn affectionate nickname didn't help at all.

Yoonchae could swear she was on the verge of madness.

She really wanted to kiss Megan.

"I-I need to go to the bathroom", Yoonchae said quickly and got up, running to the bathroom and leaving a confused Megan sitting on the couch.

As soon as she entered the bathroom, she locked the door and sat down on the toilet cover. She sighed heavily and unlocked her cell phone — which she had grabbed from the arm of the couch as she ran.

She didn't know if it was the side effects of finally accepting her feelings for Megan, but she felt that if she didn't feel Megan's lips on hers that night, she would go crazy.

She no longer cared if it was humiliating or not, she was just going to do what Daniela had told her.

Exactly, she was going to watch a YouTube tutorial on how to kiss for the first time.

She opened YouTube and started searching.

"how to kiss for the first time, quick and easy, without mistakes"

More than twenty videos of this type appeared, and Yoonchae obviously chose the one with the most attractive thumbnail, as it seemed to be the most reliable. It was impressive how many tutorials there were just for learning how to kiss, and impressive how many people watched them, including her.

The video began with a very excited red-haired girl greeting her viewers. Then she started talking about important things when kissing, such as tilting your head to the opposite side of your partner, feeling the chemistry, and so on. Yoonchae even turned up the volume on the video — not too loud for anyone outside to hear — because she was understanding it until she got to the part about the tongue. How the fuck do you use it when kissing?

The girl in the video said it's like eating ice cream.

It. Doesn't. Make. Sense.

She was feeling stupid. More than that, she felt ridiculous for subjecting herself to watching that.

Yoonchae rested her elbow on her knee and held her head in her hand, her eyes fixed on her phone screen as if it were the only thing keeping her connected to reality. The girl in the video spoke with an irritating lightness, as if kissing were as simple as tying your shoelaces.

The girl was now talking about confidence and anxiety when kissing, because it's natural to feel nervous when you don't know what to do.

But Yoonchae's nervousness wasn't so much about not knowing what to do, but more about imagining Megan so close, so available, so... kissable.

The video ended and Yoonchae still had her main question: how to kiss.

The girl gave tips on practicing French kissing using a glass with ice, half an orange, or your own hand. Yoonchae obviously wouldn't use any of those, that, yes, would be humiliating.

She snorted, stood up, and stared at her reflection in the bathroom mirror. Her eyes were wide, her cheeks flushed, and her heart was beating as if she had run a marathon.

A thought popped into her head as she stared at herself in the mirror, a thought that was risky, but at that point, anything she said to Megan would be risky.

She took a deep breath, unlocked the door, and left the bathroom with hesitant steps. Megan was still on the couch, now fiddling with her phone, but she looked up as soon as Yoonchae appeared.

"Are you okay?", she asked, her voice soft and her gaze concerned.

Yoonchae sat down next to her again, and unfortunately couldn't even hide her nervousness.

"Yeah." That was all she could say.

A silence fell between them for a moment, both feeling uncomfortable.

"You know you can tell me if something's wro-"

"Unnie, have you ever kissed anyone?" Yoonchae cut her off. The question came out of her mouth faster than it should have.

Megan raised her eyebrows, surprised by the question. Yoonchae never asked her these kinds of questions.

"Yes... it would be kind of humiliating to have never kissed anyone at nineteen", she replied and laughed. "Why?"

Yoonchae was hesitant, her heart almost jumping out of her mouth, but she was going to continue with the subject.

"It's just that... I... I've never done it", she said, feeling her cheeks get even hotter.

"Oh... there's nothing wrong with that, Yoonchip. Kissing isn't mandatory, there's no exact age for it. It's all in your own time, when you feel ready. What society imposes is irrelevant."

Megan kind of deconstructed, which made Yoonchae laugh.

"You just said it would be humiliating to never have kissed anyone at nineteen, unnie...", Yoonchae said, and Megan laughed.

"Oh, yeah. I was just joking. I totally respect nineteen-year-olds who haven't kissed anyone yet." She contradicted herself. "But where are you going with this?"

"I wanted to ask you one more thing."

"Ask."

"But it's something really weird." Megan was confused. Yoonchae was confusing her.

"Why?"

"It's not that it's weird, it's just... you're going to think I'm weird, actually."

"Yoonchae, I would never think you're weird, and you know that. You can ask me anything", Megan said and waited for Yoonchae to say something.

You know what? Fuck it! That's what Yoonchae thought.

"How do you kiss?" She was direct, her heart almost jumping out of her mouth.

Once again, Megan was surprised by her questions.

"Well... Yoonchae, I don't know how to explain it... It's something you have to discover for yourself, you know? But the important thing is that the kiss feels right." Megan suspected that Yoonchae was interested in kissing a boy at school, judging by the tone of her questions.

"Teach me." Megan's eyes widened, realizing that her previous assumption had been completely wrong.

Teach?!

"What?! What do you mean, teach you? There's no way! Me... you..." She panicked, not expecting this.

"I want to, Mei." Megan's heart was starting to race.

"You want what...?"

"To kiss you. And I want you to teach me." Megan must have been as red as a tomato by now. When did Yoonchae stop to think about it?

"Yoonchae, I-I..."

"What's the problem?"

"Are you sure about this?", Megan asked, and Yoonchae nodded.

Megan looked into her eyes, seeing sincerity. She exchanged glances between Yoonchae's lips and eyes, and, my God, she would be lying if she said she didn't want to.

Yoonchae moved closer to her face and felt Megan's hand on her right cheek, beginning a light caress.

"Are you really sure?"

"Mei, just kiss me already."

Megan, upon hearing this, immediately pressed her lips to hers in a long kiss.

Yoonchae had never felt her heart beat so fast before. Megan's lips were soft and gentle as they touched hers, it was almost like kissing paradise.

"Try to keep up with me, okay?" Megan stopped the kiss just to say that, and when she saw Yoonchae nod, she attacked her lips again.

Now it was more intense. Megan pulled Yoonchae by the waist to press their bodies closer together, almost pulling her onto her lap. She asked for passage with her tongue, and Yoonchae somehow understood, allowing Megan's tongue to explore her mouth. She let out a sigh and placed her hands on Megan's shoulders, letting her dominate the kiss.

The feeling was really good, and because it was with Megan, it became a thousand times better.

It was slow and delicate, with no hurry to end, but unfortunately, they were running out of breath, and Megan broke the kiss with a few pecks. She opened her eyes to look at Yoonchae, who was already staring at her with that little corner smile she loved so much. Her cheeks were painted pink, and her heart was still beating fast, just like Megan's.

Happiness was evident on both their faces.

"You did really well...", Megan said, and was about to start kissing Yoonchae again, if it weren't for Manon's scream, causing the two to quickly pull away from each other.

Now they were sitting politely, looking innocently at the girl in front of them. How long had she been there?

"Not on my couch, girls! Get a room or, I don't know, go to the bathroom."

"We were just kissing!", Megan said.

"Regardless, sweetheart. No one wants to see you two making out." Megan rolled her eyes and threw a pillow at Manon, and that was enough for the two to start a war in the middle of the room.

Yoonchae just watched everything with a silly smile, her mind still thinking about the feeling of Megan's lips against hers.

Now Yoonchae was lying on Megan's bed, resting on her chest with her eyes closed and listening to her heartbeat.

"Won't your mum be worried about you sleeping here?", Megan asked, stroking Yoonchae's brown hair.

"She trusts you", Yoonchae replied in a low, sleepy voice.

"Why did you suddenly want me to teach you how to kiss?" That question made Yoonchae open her eyes.

She didn't answer right away.

"Because my mouth has been asking for yours for a long time. Not just my mouth, my heart has been wanting yours too." Megan listened attentively. "And today, it just dawned on me that I've loved you beyond friendship for a long time. Maybe since you were that unbearable basketball player who kept bothering me whenever had the chance. I denied this feeling with all my strength, but being here now, denying it is the last thing I want to do."

Megan was in complete shock, but extremely happy. She never thought her feelings would be reciprocated one day.

"I thought you were just curious... I love you too... like, ever since I met you, and knowing that now is... amazing." Yoonchae laughed, snuggling closer to her.

"Did you love me when you used to annoy me and throw paper balls and airplanes at me during recess?", Yoonchae asked, looking at her sideways.

"You have no idea how much, and how much I miss those moments."

"You're so silly, that's why I love you."

"I love you too, princess."
