“It’s kinda cute,” Boombox eventually says, leans back a little so that he can look into Subspace’s eye while they talk.
“Cute?!” Subspace almost squeaks, disbelieving, and Boombox laughs. He laughs like Subspace’s reaction is the funniest thing in the world, hearty and loud. The corners of his mouth twist up enough so that Subspace can see the dimples in his cheeks, and he gets the sudden overwhelming urge to kiss him. It takes everything in him not to do so.
Or: Subspace invites Boombox over, feels a little insecure about it, then they kiss.
