Rumi had woken up as soon as the sun started to rise, but he didn’t move an inch. He didn’t want to wake up Jina, who was currently resting her head on his chest with her head under his chin.
Rumi couldn’t help but chuckle at the fact that despite being taller than her, Jina could (and had) kicked his ass easily. He still remembers their first battle in the women bathhouse ( he was graceful that the Saga Girls was only going in there to trap them and not enjoy the bathhouse for themselves or else him and the rest of the Hunters would have suffered major blood loss from nosebleeds) and how Jina use her sharp claws against his sword. The demoness was not to be underestimated.
Well, former demoness. After sacrificing herself to help stop Gwi-ma, her soul had been transferred into a new body that had appeared with the rest of the Saga girls who had been transformed into humans again. However, they still kept some of their demon traits such as their patterns that are now iridescent like his own.
Despite it being months ago that the Idol Awards occurred, Rumi still has nightmares of Jina sacrificing herself for him. Her eyes stared at him with love and guilt, thinking that would have been the last time they would have seen each other ever again. Thankfully it wasn’t. But it could have been.
The thought alone made him bring Jina closer to him, placing a small kiss on her forehead. Like it did with Princess Aurora from Sleeping Beauty, the kiss made Jina wake up with a yawn and her brown eyes that no longer turn yellow stare open to see Rumi smiling down at her.
“Good morning,” Jina said, touching his cheeks to make sure that this wasn’t a dream. To make sure that being here together was real.
“Good morning,” Rumi replied back, still hugging her.
Jina smiles back at him only to catch something on him that wasn’t there the night before. The sight above forced a giggle out of her.
“Someone woke up horny,” she stated. The comment made Rumi blush, and it caused his patterns to glow red as well.
“O-Oh, I’m so sorry,” he pushed himself back a little bit, with his hands still on her. “It-It’s a common thing to happen in the morning.” He was beyond embarrassed at the moment, pleading within himself for the sword in his pants to go down.
“Not that type of horny,” Jina chuckled and pointed at the real culprit that was on Rumi’s head.’
“Huh?” Rumi was confused until he look up and discover that place upon his forehead was….
“Horns!” He yells, his hands going straight to his forehead to touch the new addition to himself. Once feeling the pointed edges of them, he ran out of bed and straight into the bathroom to take a good look at himself in the mirror.
Indeed, there was a pair of horns growing out of his head, They weren't the large ones he was used to seeing on demons. In fact, they were rather small and purple. They were basically the horns you would find on the demon emoji.
“Great,” he groans. While he had accepted his demon inheritance, he was still getting used to having his patterns exposed more. Especially considering that they would change colors whenever he felt strong feelings (thankfully that only happens when he’s at home). But he wasn’t told that horns would come with the package.
“What next, will I grow a tail out of my ass?” he signed, frustrated. He was then startled by a pair of hands hugging behind him, but soon he relaxed and placed his hands on top of them.
“I wouldn’t mind you growing a tail,” Jina stated as she placed her kiss on his shirtless back , making Rumi turn around to face her. “It would be a great addition to some….night activities.” She smirks with a lick of her lips.
Once again Rumi was blushing hard with his patterns following suit. He and Jina hadn’t gone that far into their relationship yet. They’d done physical activities but nothing too far. He didn’t want to rush into things considering they were both each other first in dating. He didn’t want to take advantage of her like those at the palace almost did after she made her deal with Gwi-ma four centuries ago. She was brought into the palace to be entertainment for the royals and their comrades, however, she was also expected to act as a concubine whenever one of them felt lonely at night. Jina felt fortunate that all she did was sing and dance in revealing clothings for them and that nothing had gone beyond that before Gwi-ma had taken her soul into the underworld. However, if it meant she would have brought more money to her mother and sister she was forced to leave behind ... .she would have taken up the offer if given the chance.
When Jina had told him the full version of her backstory after Gwi-ma was defeated, Rumi’s blood boiled at the thought of her being taken advantage of. Those at the palace were fortunate to have been long gone by now or else Rumi would have gone after them himself.
“Is this normal?” Rumi asks, ignoring her previous comment. “I never had them before, only the patterns.”
“Yeah, normal for demons,” Jina replied. “Usually demons grow more inhuman parts such as tusks, extra eyes, etc.. over the years. But given your case, you must be a late bloomer.”
“I’m not!” Rumi exclaimed.
“Sure you aren’t,” Jina smirks. “Though, I was expecting them to be bigger. I wonder what else is smaller than they appear to be. ” She lowers her eyes down to Rumi’s pants, still smirking.
“Alright! That’s it!” Rumi picks her up bridal style. “Timeout for you!”
“But we just woke up.” Jina chuckles as Rumi places both of them back to bed.
“And you’re being insufferable already.” He stated with no malice and starting to attack her with kisses all over her face.
“Noooo! Stop! You still have morning breath!” Jina pleads but she found herself laughing as he got on top of her, not stopping anytime soon.
“Your horns might hit me!”
“Oh, I thought they were too small for you!” Rumi smirks as he starts placing kisses on Jina’s neck.
“I take it back!” Jina’s chuckles soon turn into moans as Rumi was kissing her neck. She places his hands on his back while Rumi places his hands on her waist. Soon the couple find themselves in a makeout session.
“Ok, now someone is actually horny,” Jina whispers with a small gasp when she felt the sword in Rumi’s pants rise up against the shorts she was wearing. The comment made Rumi pause his kiss attack on her so he can smirk and lean down to whispers in her ears.
“Is it big enough for your liking?” Rumi bit the tips of her ears, pleased with the small yelp Jina made.
Before Jina could respond, the couple was interrupted by the enraged screaming of Miru.
“BABY!!!!!!” The pink haired member of Hunters shrikes at the top of his lungs, not caring that he will wake the rest of the residents.
“WHY IS THERE HOT SAUCE IN MY SOAP?!”
“BECAUSE I KNEW PUTTING IN YOUR TOOTHPASTE WOULD BE TOO GOOD FOR YOU!” Baby replied matter of factly.
There was a quick moment of silence before there was a loud bang of a door slamming against a wall followed by angry footsteps.
“YOU’RE GONNA PAY FOR THAT YOU GREMLIM!” Miru rushed past Rumi’s bedroom wearing nothing but a towel by his waist with soap still on his body and his eyes that were burning red with rage and the hot sauce.
“I STILL DON’T KNOW WHAT THAT IS!” Replied Baby and her footsteps were heard next running at a fast pace.
“My love, please, don’t hurt her too much.” Allure came running after the pair, wearing only a towel around her wet body with Abby running along with her as she put on a robe.
“That’s just her way of showing affection!” Abby explained.
“WELL ATTACKING HER WITH MY GOK-DO IS MY WAY OF SHOWING AFFECTIONS!” Miru said as he summoned his weapon from the homoon as he gave chase to Baby.
“MIRU! PLEASE DO NOT KILL MY GIRLFRIEND!” Zack joined the party follow by barking from Mystique.
“It’s too early in the morning for this,” Rumi signs as he hears large bangs and crashes across the Hunters’ Tower.
“Wanna go back to sleep for a few minutes and then we can kick their asses?” Jina suggested, offering her chest as a pillow.
“Yes, I would like that,” Rumi answers and places his head on her chest and closes his eyes for a few minutes of peace with his beloved.
