When he was finally of age to join the pity roulette and have the chance of getting out of the hell hole commonly known as public middle school, he was considering not putting his name in on the pure principle of 'I don’t need more proof that the universe hates me.' But if Haruka is anything, he's spiteful. Even against himself. Sometimes, especially against himself.
He wrote his name down and inserted it in the locked box that looked suspiciously like a piggy bank. And again, four more times when he didn't win the first three years.
He should have just stuck with losing.
