   Summary

   Niobe was born a quiet baby. A strange an unusual sight, a new-born baby who just held her small eyes open and almost smiled at her parents, as if to greet them.
   But the almost smile never came, as just when Niobe saw her tear-eyed and lovely smiling mother, she felt a slap on her baby back, forcing her to cry. As if the world punished her for smiling at all.

   Since then, the world has always slapped her back whenever she gets almost happy. A punishment fit for such a terrible crime.
