Fine Line Artbook

Summary:

An AvA/AvM artbook separate from my main one. Specifically for any and all artwork related to my Roleswap AU, "We Walk a Fine Line."

Notes:

IGNORE THE GIANT "FLIPPED" AT THE TOP OF THE PAGE

That was the original placeholder title for the fic that I ended up changing.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Chapter 1: Character Sketches P1: Vic & Orange

Summary:

"Vic" and "Orange"

Notes:

So for the last month or so, I've been obsessing over this Roleswap AU I conceived back in 2023 that I decided to follow up on. I've been working on the written stuff, but I also have a TON of artwork that I wanted to show off as well. I have all of the character sketches done for it, so I'm going to post those along with quick backstories. These will also be on my tumblr, along with whatever rambling thoughts I might come up with while I'm working on this AU. The first written chapter of this story will likely be posted later today, so if you're interested in this, make sure to keep an eye out!

Chapter Text

In this AU, victim goes by Vic, and The Second Coming goes by Orange. victim was still created first, but he... never actually escaped. Alan eventually got bored of him and moved on to create more “challenging” stick figures.

Fast-forward 7 years, and Second is accidentally created. His meeting with the Fighting Stick Figures and his ensuing fight with Alan go the same, except in the brief moment where Alan sits back to watch Second's animations, Second accidentally reloads the FSF webpage himself. The FSF are revived, and with the help of Second’s animations, they escape the PC before Alan gets the chance to talk to them.

After they escape, Alan gets curious and decides to bring back an old stick figure. Now that he has a conscience, though, he doesn’t feel right naming the stick figure “victim.” He decides to change it, capitalizing the first letter and shortening the name; “Vic.”

The stick figure that then springs to life is indeed victim. But due to the tampering with his symbol, he doesn’t remember any of his past lives aside from vague emotions and sensations. He thinks he's brand new, and so does his creator. So when Alan decides to keep the little guy, he doesn’t think it relevant to tell Vic about the others that came before him. And Vic, of course, doesn’t think to ask.

What neither of them know is that the tampering with Vic’s symbol affected more than just his memories…

Meanwhile, Orange and his friends find themselves careening through the interspace before crashing into the Outernet. With no connections or knowledge of their new world, the five struggle to find their way. Eventually, upon realizing the value of their fighting skills, they slowly but surely begin building a life for themselves as bounty hunters. This, of course, eventually puts them on the trail of a certain terrorist duo...

Plz ignore the rip and awful eraser marks; my current sketchbook sucks. -_-
