Summary
Buck stops Eddie on his way out after their shift. “You don’t have to transfer stations—” he starts.
Eddie’s face lights with an incredulous smile. “Oh I don’t, do I?”
“But at least switch shifts,” Buck continues on, doggedly.
“I like this shift,” says Eddie mildly.
“You are causing problems,” says Buck.
“Am I the one causing problems?”
“You are and you know it. I don’t want to have to tell Bobby about—”
“Then don’t,” says Eddie, calling his bluff, reading him too well.
Buck clenches his jaw in frustration. “You’re not wanted here.”
Eddie steps into his space for the first time all shift, and Buck will never admit it to a soul, but he sways towards him. “You know, I don’t think that’s true,” says Eddie.

Eddie and Buck hooked up at fight club two weeks before Eddie's first shift. Eddie pretends it never happened for as long as he can.
