    Ed is the captain and best player of the best hockey team in the league, and he's bored. Then he meets Stede, captain of a new expansion team, and suddenly the game--and life--is exciting again.

    But "trust no one" is engraved in his training, and when he suspects Stede of shady dealings with rival teams, he decides to close himself off to all that Stede offers--fun, kindness, and affection.

    Can they trust each other before the end of the season, and let themselves fall in love?
