Summary
While Telemachus and Penelope are with him at the start and end of every day, the great majority of his time is spent alone. His presence causes such a stir in the populated portions of the palace that he rarely leaves the royal quarters during the day. His heart and feet are restless by nightfall. Twice now, he’s caught the night patrols by surprise in his rooftop wanderings and moonlit forest excursions.
