Six thousand years, and somehow, this still feels like the beginning

Summary:

Aziraphale and Crowley, between the pages of a book and the breath of those you love.

Work Text:

They've been here before — under the same tree, in the same light, for longer than either of them would admit.

Time doesn't pass the same way when it's spent like this. And somewhere between the pages and the sunlight, they both stop pretending.

Six thousand years, and somehow, this still feels like the beginning.
