After a busy day, the pair had finally made it to their penthouse. Thankfully it was their day off the next day so both were already thinking of how they are going to spend it. These type of days never come often. It does seem Astra has an idea though, as she walks up behind her girlfriend and wraps her arms around her waist.
“Hey Eve~”
“Yes, Miss Yao?”
“Do you have anything planned tomorrow? Lets go on a date!”
Evelyn raises an eyebrow at Astra “I don’t have anything planned but…what are we doing tomorrow, Miss Yao?” The songstress perks up “Remember that time we couldn’t go to that entomological exhibition?”
The manager does remember. Astra secretly bought tickets for the both of them. Evelyn thought it was a really sweet gesture, even if they couldn’t go in the end, she still thinks of that day fondly. While she wasn’t against actually going this time…one problem lies
“I do but…aren’t you scared of insects Miss Yao?”
Astra freezes as Evelyn states a very obvious fact.
The manager laughs softly at her girlfriend’s reaction.
“It’s alright Miss Yao, we don’t need to go to the exhibit but if there was anything else that you would like to do tomorrow then I’d be more than happy to go with you” Evelyn turns to face Astra, only to be met by her pouting
“Eve…We’re talking about our date here. It’s no good if we only do things that are for me. Also, you’re slipping again! It’s Astra not Miss Yao! We’re not working right now”
Evelyn flinches
“My apologies Astra…as for the date, I’m really fine with whatever as long as I get to spend time with you. Besides I don’t want to make you uncomfortable during our date”
“But E~ve! You’re always doing so much for me, let me do something nice for you just this once!”
There goes Astra’s puppy eyes again…Evelyn swears Astra practices it often to make sure Evelyn would fold every time she uses it. Giving up, she says “Seeing as you will not be taking no for an answer, then I don’t really have a choice.”
Satisfied with her girlfriend’s answer, Astra leans in to give Evelyn a chaste kiss. The blonde reciprocates this action. After pulling away the pair stares at each other with affection, embracing the warmth of this moment. Reluctantly Evelyn pulls away
“..So what do you want for dinner?”
“O-Oh um! Mapo Tofu, extra spicy!”
“As you wish Astra”

9:30AM
“EEK!!”
The door to Astra’s room swings open
“Astra?! What’s wrong?!”
“Eve!! A-A cockroach!!”
Evelyn looks around trying to spot the insect. She notices something move in her peripheral, with her quick reflexes she grabs her slipper and swats the insect on the floor.
After cleaning up, Evelyn goes back to check up on Astra who was still in her bed
“Astra, are you alright?” Evelyn asks, clearly worried. “I-I’m alright…I was just sleeping then I felt something crawl on my face, when I realized what it was…I just screamed.” Astra pouts “Eve, this is why I’ve been asking you to sleep in bed with me! But you’ve been so shy about it!” Evelyn sighs
“I’ll think about it”
“You said that last time”
Ignoring Astra’s comment, Evelyn turns around and heads to the door
“Anyway, breakfast is ready, I made french toast”
“Eve!!!”

1:00PM
The couple stands in front of the entomological exhibit. They both put on simple disguises to avoid attracting attention. Nothing too crazy though, just enough to blend into the crowd
“ I’ll ask this one last time Astra, are you sure you’re going to be okay? “
“Yeah! I have my Eve with me, it’s gonna be okay” Astra gives Evelyn’s hand a slight squeeze
The bodyguard smiles fondly. Although she was still a little worried, seeing as her girlfriend was really determined to go through this exhibit with her. Evelyn did not have the heart to discourage her.
After showing their ticket at the counter, the pair took their first steps into the exhibit
Inside was a hall populated by different cases of a variety of butterflies, crickets, beetles, and the entire reason Astra was so insistent in bringing Evelyn here: moths. Despite her fear of insects, Astra did her best to research a bunch about moths, knowing how Evelyn is fond of them. Astra chuckles to herself excited to show off the newly obtained knowledge she has about them to Evelyn
…That was until she actually had to go through the exhibit. While Evelyn was calmly looking around the exhibit, admiring the different colorful insects, Astra was walking around with her eyes closed shut, holding Evelyn’s hand very tightly. Evelyn chuckles at the songstress as she guides them both through the exhibit, making sure Astra doesn’t bump into anything or anyone.
Then they finally reach the last part of the exhibit. The moths. It was advertised that you could find multiple rare species of them. Walking through the exhibit, Evelyn had recognized a few. Dyrocampa Rubicanda, distinguishable by its fluffy body and its vibrant yellow and pink colors. Close to it was the Actias Luna, known to be one of the largest moth species. It has a white body, and large pale green wings with tails sticking out on the ends. Next to it was the Lymantriinae, a rare transparent moth species. All of these species had its charms, but one specific species stands out to Evelyn, that being…
“The lunalux serafilum!! I never thought I would see one up close!” An enthusiast exclaimed nearby.
Hearing this, Astra snaps her eyes open. The aforementioned moth immediately lands in her line of vision. She perks up as she pulls Evelyn with her. Evelyn simply lets herself get dragged.
When they reach their destination, Astra watches in awe as if she didn’t have her eyes closed the whole exhibit.
“Is this why you wanted to come here Astra?” Evelyn stands next to her with a wide smile now realizing her lover’s true motive.
“Mhm! I remember you mentioning this moth in the past and how much it meant to you. As soon as I heard about this exhibit having them, I just had to get tickets for it”
*thump thump*
Evelyn doesn’t say anything or make a sound, Astra feel her grip become tighter though
“Eve?”
“...I love you”
*thump thump*
Astra looks at Evelyn with wide eyes. Evelyn did not express her love in words as often, she usually shows it through actions but moments like things were so important to Astra.
“I love you too Eve-”
As she finishes her sentence, the moth flies towards Astra at full speed landing on the glass in front of her.
This broke all the composition Astra had making her scream at the top of her lungs. People were quick to turn their heads towards the noise.
“Was that Astra?!”
“Wait what?! Where?!”
“I think I heard her over there!!”
Without waiting another minute, Evelyn pulls Astra along with her, making their quick exit from the exhibit.
She was prepared for this to happen eventually. It was to be expected if you’re living as or living with the Astra Yao. But Evelyn wouldn’t have it any other way, wherever Astra may be, she will be by her side, for she was a moth and Astra was her flame.
