Sergio hated the way the word “want” rolled off his tongue and out through his teeth. It sounded so pathetic.
“I heard you.” – On the other side, her voice was calm and gentle. – “But you forgot something, right?”
In Sergio's mind, hundreds of arrows stopped. Just one detail. He held his breath.

“The hostage will be hungry.”
