Castle Town has never been so lively, positively overflowing with a colourful cast of characters they recruited along the way, and yet… Ralsei feels so alone. Of course, he isn’t alone, because Lancer and many others constantly come to talk to him, but he’s lonely all the same. The company is nice, and a welcome change from how truly lonely he was before, but… none of these people make him feel the way he does when Kris and Susie are here.
Before they fell into his world, it was like Ralsei lived somewhere monochrome, devoid of colour. And then a loud, brash yet kind monster and a quiet, mysterious and complicated human came tumbling into his life… and that joyful colour washed over him, bathing him in a warmth he never felt before. He is never happier than when Susie and Kris are here.
Of course, they must return to their world sometimes, because they are needed there too. And when they leave, the colour drains, and the loneliness descends once again.
So, whenever they return, Ralsei is always there to meet them, a big smile on his face as he welcomes them back, so happy to see his friends.
