Books spoke of a humanoid creature—an undefined figure who had dragon scales for its skin—as a saviour to dragons and a killer to vikings. Many books spoke of different stories of how such a being came to be, most contained the same story. A human who abandoned all humanity to join the species who rivaled them. Other books were filled with beliefs that the dragon protector was a powerful being sent to punish them for all the mass killings committed against dragons; a dragon God.
