Snapper and his Kitty - Shorts

Summary:

Ideas I had for Tao and Raph (their families too) but couldn’t turn into full length stories. Some may turn into something longer but not for now. I just need to get the ideas out.

Chapter 1: Raph and Taka

Chapter Text

To say Taka was surprised when Tao brought along his new friend was an understatement. Tao rarely brought friends home. When Tao told him about his new friends and that one of them would come over, Raphael, Taka didn’t know what he was expecting, but certainly not the big mutant turtle.

Taka opened the door and in front of him stood a mutant turtle. He was only slightly taller than Tao but almost as broad as Taka himself. If this kid really is the same age as Tao, then he would eventually tower not only over Tao but Taka as well.

Being the man of few words he was, he just let the kid in and pointed him towards Taos room.

If you had told Taka when he first met Raph that he’d be a very frequent guest in their home, the rest of his family too, Taka would have called you insane. Yet here he was standing in the kitchen while Raph set the table. His own kids were in the yard tending to the garden and Raph had offered to set the table. Taka smiled a tiny smile when Tao and Yue came back in and Raph’s face just lit up at the sight of Tao. Taka knew Tao was just as happy to have Raph around. Tao may not have voice it to Taka or Yue but both knew their son/brother well enough to know that he was in love. If Raph’s expression was anything to go by, the feeling was mutual. It was only a matter of time before they made it official.

When they finally made their relationship official all Taka could say was: “Finally.” He had a bet with Splinter going on, how long it would take them. It was a tie. Taka had too much faith in his son while Splinter had too little.

A few months into dating, Taka had sent Tao to run a few errands while he did the inventory in the shop. While Tao was gone, Raph decided to visit. Instead of letting the turtle, that now towered over Tao but has yet to grow taller than Taka, wait for his boyfriend, Taka made him work.

When Tao came home he found his old man and boyfriend sorting inventory. Taka was a lot more talkative with Raph today. Tao knew this was their father’s way of approving of Raph. Not only was he talking more with him he was letting him help in the shop. The shop was his family’s legacy. There was a reason the only employees were Tao and Yue. Taka doesn’t trust others with the shop. Only his family.
