Summary
In one reality, Darth Maul found and attempted to kill Obi-Wan Kenobi in year BBY 2. However, in this story, their interaction occurs far earlier in the timeline, and this time, perhaps being dis-connected from the force for a little bit more than half a decade has some drawbacks that Kenobi couldn't quite escape.
Unbeknownst to Maul, during his search for Kenobi, he had unintentionally drawn the attention of his old master, Darth Sideous, and with that, whether it be the will of the force or another presence that pulls the strings of their puppets, it is not Sidious himself that comes to kill the old apprentice. No, instead, Dath Sideous has chosen to send his apprentice to kill the fallen apprentice. And this Sith will not so willingly allow Maul to kill Kenobi, not when it is he, who shall be the one to eliminate Obi-Wan, and with the reveal of secrets long ago made, Darth Vader has new eagerness to see the end of Obi-Wan Kenobi.Basically, everyone is just trying to kill everyone and somehow an eight year old farm boy, with a far too large presence in the force to be seen as normal, gets thrown into the mix.
