Summary
Earth is given an unexpected second chance. In order to save his father, Conner volunteers to wed Trigon's eldest daughter. Expecting a beast like her father, he a faced with a woman that defies his every expectation.
Raven flashes back to the destruction of Azarath. Her mother turning to ash along with the rest of her people. She defied her father once and ended in her own trap until Trigon saw her as useful. Now she is to remain in in an unfamiliar world while being bound to the son of earth's protectors.
Learning to live together is one thing. But as Trigon's demands of them grow, so does the looming doom over the young couple.
