“I love you.”
He whispered reverently on Sasuke‘s skin, over and over again, each repetition on a different part. The words bubbled under Sasuke‘s skin. Naruto‘s hands gently wrapped around hips, as if afraid to break a relic.
Fingers traveled down thighs, up and down with every small ridge of scattered scars. A kiss placed on each one. Sasuke shivered, disgust and joy intertwined. Words which said those scars were ugly, something to be ashamed of, somehow contradicted by the gentle press of lips.
It was almost too much, yet not enough. The disgust he felt with his body fought with the desire to be loved, to be worshipped bare by his partner. Sasuke shifted, and Naruto paused.
It was almost offensive, having someone knowing you so well. The lips moved upwards, avoiding what lay in between much too large thighs and much too wide hips. Instead, they moved to a pulse, his inner wrist adorned with faded scars and a steady heartbeat.
To be loved was a sweet thing. To be seen was liberating. To be loved and seen was terrifying.
“I love you so much.”
Each syllable melted into Sasuke’s skin, hot and gooey. The shame in his heart caged by breast that shouldn’t be there melted slightly.
His eyes softened. A lifeline in the form of love.. what a beautiful thing.
