For the Love of Peanut Butter Cups

Summary:

Yuuji's a weather diety who loves peanut butter cups.

Notes:

This is crack and unedited. Kinda forgot I had this until I saw it.

Work Text:

No thoughts. Just weather deity Yuuji who makes the weather go bad whenever something bad happens and his human boyfriend Sukuna has to deal with it.

Sukuna switched Yuuji’s favorite peanut butter cups for some peanut and caramel chocolate bars? The downpour in what was supposed to be the hottest peak of summer caused flooding in their neighborhood.

It didn’t help that Yuuji made it rain along the way from Sukuna’s apartment to the store when Sukuna was on his way to buy some peanut butter cups.

People kept looking at Sukuna funny because he kept cursing and scowling and pointed at the sky and called, ‘Don’t be such a brat, you brat!’

As if the weather was listening to him (because it was), the downpour only got stronger.

(After that, Sukuna had to get a few more packs of peanut butter cups necessary to appease the bratty weather deity.)

Sukuna ignored Yuuji because he was too engrossed in a volleyball match he was watching (they were taking bets, Sukuna had invested big bucks in this game and he was not losing this), Yuuji made it rain hail. Worse because it happened on the day Sukuna was supposed to go on a business trip with a client he absolutely hated. The business trip was a success alright but the hail made getting back impossible and Sukuna was stuck listening to his client, Gojo Satoru, be an insufferable dick.

When Sukuna pleaded with Yuuji to stop the hail because he can’t deal with Gojo Satoru anymore, he was promptly ignored.

Another time, when both of them were out on a date (Yuuji has a human form) and someone flirted with Sukuna while he went to the washroom and the winds promptly howled so loud and seemingly directed only to the girl and Sukuna. When the girl tried to hold on to Sukuna because the wind was about to blow her away, Yuuji made the wind blow harder that it almost blasted Sukuna away, too! “What the fuck, braaaat!”

Four young adults, Boy 1, Boy 2, Girl 1, and Girl 2 coz we’re original and totally not lazy, ran quickly towards the nearest shed to shelter themselves from the torrential downpour.

“Ugh! I can’t believe our day’s ruined!” Girl 1 complained as she tried to flick the wetness from her already soaked flimsy sundress. “The forecast said it would be sunny all day!”

“The weather is supposed to be sunny and hot for the next two months!” Boy 1 complained.

“He’s being a brat, is all.”

Someone mumbled that had all four of them turning towards the voice, just noticing now the other occupant in the shed. He was dressed in all black, shoes, pants, shirt, and leather jacket, he had black tattoos on his neck disappearing down his back, but most distinguishable was his slicked-back wet pink hair. He was looking up at the heavens with a scowl.

When he didn’t regard them, the four of them looked at each other before Boy 1 asked, “Did you say something, bruh?”

Without even looking at them, the pink-haired man said, “I said, he’s being a fucking brat! ”

As he said it, he shouted it towards the skies as if it had done him personal injustice. As if the skies were retaliating, it thundered so loudly that the four young adults ducked at the sound.

This didn’t deter the man though. If anything, it incensed him even more because the scowl got deeper as he shouted skyward, “I said stop being a brat, you brat! I am this close,” his fingers literally pinching together “to being done with your bullshit! You can’t make it rain every time I switch Reese’s for Snickers! They’re the same, you glutton!”

There was another roll of thunder, coupled with a few lightning this time.

“Hey!” the pink-haired man barked. “I said stop throwing a tantrum, you big baby! I was gonna get your peanut butter cups! But you went ahead and flooded the street and now I can’t buy them and you have the audacity to be angry coz I’m stuck in this shed instead of going to the store? Who’s fucking making it rain in the middle of summer over a few chocolate bars?!”

“Uhh…are you okay?” Boy 2 asked.

The man turned towards them, hand still pointed to the gray skies. “Fuck no! That brat is being an idiot! All for a piece of candy!”

The four of them were looking at the pink-haired man weirdly, sure that he belonged in a facility somewhere, and Girl 2 voiced it out by whispering to her friends, “I think he escaped the mental facility.”

The pink-haired man heard it though, because he said, “If there’s anyone crazy, it’s him!”

As if the weather understood, more rolls of thunder.

He pointed a finger towards the sky, “Don’t pull that attitude on me! It’s your fault for being a glutton! Not mine!”

A tree beside them was suddenly hit by lightning. All 4 adults ran, screaming. Sukuna could only groan.

But on most days, the sun shone bright and the flowers bloomed and one weather deity is happily munching on his much beloved peanut butter cups courtesy of a tired Sukuna.

“Seriously, brat, don’t drown the world for those peanut butte—did you just gobble 5 minis at once?! Do you want to choke from—mmph!” After eating 5 minis on his own, Yuuji turned to his boyfriend and fed him 3 minis, causing Sukuna to cough and almost choke himself. Sukuna had to pound his own chest with his fist.

“Are you trying to kill me, brat?!”

Yuuji just gave him a big chocolatey grin and went back to opening more minis. “Fese are sho good, Shuku!” (These are so good, Suku!”

“Seriously.” Sukuna’s exasperated alright, but that didn’t stop him from reaching to wipe the chocolate on Yuuji’s chin, or help me unwrap more minis.

“You’re the best!” Yuuji said, popping one more mini cup in his mouth.

“I better be. I went through a hurricane for those.” Literally, was left unsaid. Not that his weather deity boyfriend needed to hear it. As of right now, Yuuji’s appeased, the weather forecast is as it should be, and not confusing any meteorologists or weathermen.

Sukuna will have to be better prepared for the next hurricane though.

For now, he still had several stashes of peanut butter cups. That should guarantee sunny weather in the next few days.
