The world went dark.
Silent.
Unmoving.
He felt nothing
except
His anger.
His love.
His will.
His fire.
Lighting up - although there was still nothing, the monster came into view, revealed by the flames. It towered over him, tilting its head. Curious, maybe, or delighted for the rare chance to eat its newest meal a second time.
He imagined he narrowed his eyes. He didn't care if he was alive or dead right now. He wasn't going to go down again without a fight.
Before he could even move, the creature coiled around him in an instant. Even when he felt nothing, he could feel the beast ravenously pinching at his flames, devouring him ember by ember.
Tch. If that's what it wanted, then...
He yelled, though he had no voice. His fire roared, crackling brighter, brighter, and brighter.
He will survive. He will make it to his friends. His family.
It will not end here.
It will not. End. Here.
IT. WILL. NOT. END. HERE.
The monster thought it could consume him.
Hah.
Instead,
it
was consumed
engulfed
by flames.
