Work Text:
About an hour into filming, they decided to take a break and were sitting on the respective couches in Brian’s living room eating snacks. Brian and Tim sat on one couch as Alex and Jay sat on another. Alex had said something about the Saw movies and it had peeked Jay’s interest.
”That is the worst possible take I’ve heard on Saw II ever! You can’t seriously think that it is a worse movie than Friday The 13th?!” Jay rambled. Tim had to admit, Saw II was an infinitely better movie than Friday The 13th, but he also knew that he hadn’t said anything remotely rude towards Jay the entire filming session and he didn’t want anyone to get suspicious.
”Look, I’m with Alex on this one,” Jay looked over at Tim with disbelief, “Saw II is just too corny, while Friday The 13th is a classic.” Jay sensed that Tim was teasing, a playful glint forming in his eye. Brian side eyed Tim, sensing an even bigger argument was on the horizon.
”Oh, come on! You can’t be serious! I knew you had shit opinions, Wright, but really? Defending Friday The 13th over Saw II?” Jay scoffed as Tim adjusted in his seat.
”Look, Saw II only tried to rely on the needle pit— which wasn’t even scary— and that caused it to fall flat on its ass! You can’t sit here and defend it when you’re wearing that dumb hat, I can’t even take you seriously!” Tim chuckled, thoroughly enjoying teasing Jay. Brian squinted, noting that there was an odd glimmer in Tim’s eyes as he was talking. He brushed it off for the time being.
”Seriously? You bring up my hat, which looks good by the way, when all you do is wear dumb flannels! What are you? A lumberjack? Get over yourself!” Jay dramatically stood up, “I’m going to the bathroom, you stress me the hell out.” Jay walked away, heading down the hallway and into the bathroom.
Silence fell over the room, Tim pretended to be upset over the argument by crossing his arms and bouncing his leg up and down anxiously. Alex cleared his throat after some time.
”Listen, Tim,” His voice had a level of seriousness that pierced through Tim’s chest, “You need to watch yourself.” Tim looked at Alex, squinting.
”Whatever,” Tim huffed, standing up and walking away, “Going to get some fresh air for a bit.” Alex scoffed, rolling his eyes and crossing his arms.
Tim walked down the hallway, going into the kitchen and opening the back door just to slam it closed. He stood in the kitchen for a moment before sneaking back into the hallway and in the bathroom. He quietly opened the door, shutting it gently and locking it before turning around to face Jay, who had a grin on his face.
“Was that convincing enough?” Jay whispered as Tim stepped closer to him.
”Well, Alex seemed like he wanted to rip my head off, so I’d say you did a good job.” Tim smiled, looking at Jay with a look of admiration. Jay thought for a moment before tilting his head.
”My hat isn’t that stupid, is it?” Tim wrapped his arms around Jay’s shoulders.
”A little, but you pull it off so well.” Tim remarked before taking a hold of Jay’s face in his hands and pressing a gentle yet passionate kiss on his lips. Jay pulled away for a moment, looking at Tim’s eyes.
”This is a bad idea, right?” Jays eyebrows scrunched.
”Oh, most definitely.” Tim chuckled before kissing Jay again, not leaving any room for anymore thought to be put into the possibility of them being caught.
It would be their secret, for just a while longer.
