Oh god, everyone was looking at him all expectant, he turned his attention to the moderator. She was smiling at him and responded “Hi Gerard. Did you want to share what made you decide to come today?” He still felt like he couldn’t breathe.

    Gerard took a beat to formulate his response. He wasn’t willing to share too much about his struggles, he didn’t know any of these people, and he definitely didn’t trust them enough to be honest about what was really going on with him. They'd lose their shit, or have him institutionalized or whatever.
