Summary
Edith knows this city is flawed, that some of the people are wicked. She knows that no one is righteous, God and the Gospels have long been forgotten in Sodom. Despite all of this, she loves these people. The city and its people are rough, but more are good than not. She knows in the shadows people do things that God calls abomination, but who is she to judge. She and her two daughters must grapple with the city's coming destruction and their iability to save it.
The next installment of working through my religious trauma by writing bible fanfiction is Lot's Wife and the Destruction of Sodom. This one is hard because my knee jerk programing: the people of Sodom where unrighteous and deserved it. However, recent introspection has lead to the horrible realization that a person can be both good and unrighteous. This fic explores the build up and destruction of Sodom through the perspective of Lot's Wife (who I refer to as Edith for ease of reading). It explores her relationship with Sodom, the people within, and her understanding of its coming destruction. I also cover Lot offering his daughters to the angry mob to take the place of the Angels (its not explicit, but potentially triggering so be warned).
