Summary
Aziraphale Easton rents a small cottage in the South Downs for the summer to finish working on his new manuscript. Some time away from the city and his “dusty old” bookshop would do his creative juices some good, his agent told him. But what Aziraphale finds is much more enticing than his writing: the local artist Crowley.
The beautiful and vibrant red-head is equally as smitten as the writer, leading to the start of a summer romance. But little whispers from Aziraphale's mind and Crowley's little oddities have the writer second-guessing this seemingly sweet love affair.
Will the bizarre village rumors, the meddling of the locals, Aziraphale's self-doubt, and Crowley's mercurial tendencies cause their hearts to crash beneath the roaring waves?
